'10 TN RB Brady Earnhardt

I heard he has been the MVP at all 3 Rivals combines he participated in. Knoxville last weekend was his most recent and he was fastest AND strongest man. I'm researching to see if and/or how many times an athlete has been the fastest and strongest guy.

This kid has got to be on the Vols radar. I hope Kiffin doesn't overlook him on his trip to the west coast.

It was electronic timing so everyone's times were slower as the coaches told them they would be.

Earnhardt did 30 reps...closest kid did 25

jankster,
I'm pretty sure his first combine was Prep Champs at D1 Brentwood (not a Rivals combine). The other two (NUC & TN Rivals) are parterned with Rivals for sure.
As I said earlier, I (finally) joined this site after reading the posts about him. I watched him at the NUC combine and was VERY impressed with everything he did. I'm just having a little difficulty understanding why more info is not posted on major sites (NUC, Rivals, TN Rivals, etc... Maybe he's just being further evaluated? Anyway, I couldn't agree with you more, this kid's the real deal! It's just a matter of time until he commits somewhere. Hopefully Orange!

He would be a solid backup, but I believe Kiffin is only going to offer guys who he feels can land a starting job, he will probably end up at MTSU, or maybe Kentucky.

Blur? Just sent you a message requesting info on Earnhardt (before reading this).

doesnt have the lateral speed...or elusive ability for a player his size to be special....has very good straight line speed.......he is more of a kid that will try and run over you as opposed to around you.....solid prospect, but I dont see him as D-1....

I'm certainly not the expert you are, however; that's not at all what I'm hearing. I'm being told he played more than half the year with a high ankle sprain. I have not seen him play have you? I've also been told he has talked to several D1 schools.

Fencing in our boders? Kiffin better be looking at Earnhardt! Compare his measurables to any RB in the country. His ONLY negative is his height (5'7" - 5'8"). He's as fast as anyone and stronger than EVERYONE. (including the linemen at the combines). Played half his games last year with a high ankle sprain and still had nearly 1,300 yds & 58 tackles.

i go to the same school as brady, i am good friends with him. he can punish most linebackers in our district even with how small he is and outruns all of them compltely, he had one run of 97 yards where he broke 3 tackles and almost made the safety fall out of his shoes, his senior year is coming up and he should be even better.
a true 40 would be about a 4.4 but brady is HIGHLY considering going to texas a&m and following his father who coaches us and went to a&m but i am trying to get him to choose tennessee. if you have any questions about him ask me, he is at my house atleast once or twice every few weeks.

He probably can play at a D-II school. Not for the Vols.

Yea, your probably right. Vols shouldn't even consider a kid that's been timed 4.35 in the 40 and can rep 185 lbs. 30 times. Maybe he should hold out for a DIII or NAIA school offer? Give me a break! We need athletes like this. I've never said he's a 4 -5 star RB that could immediately help the Vols, what I've said is his measurables are better than most RB's in the country and better than ALL RB's in Tennessee. Numbers don't lie!

he does run track to answer a previous question and he is 4.35 fast, ran for 1100 yards last year and 16 TD as junior. he is 4.4 at slowest, i promise.

brady is definatley good enough to play for the vols, that speed is rare with that power. trust me, he can play. im the qb and not being cocky but i can throw pretty well but it doesnt matter cause all we do is hand the ball to brady, every play and nobody can stop him and if we do throw, we throw it to him lol we went 10-2 giving him the ball everytime. he also played linebacker if that answers any questions about his "lack of size" just cause he is small doesnt mean he cant run over people and still run a 4.3

Hmmm, let me get this straight: "measureables ain't worth any points"... This could be the most asinine (dumb) things I've heard on any of the blogs I participate in. I'm sure you were kidding, because someone who had a clue in life wouldn't make a statement that ridiculous.

Since you don't give credibility to "measureables" what do you look at Mr. Recuiting genious?? Hair color like the gay guy on American Idol?

Dude, that's ALL we have is the numbers these kids are posting. It's the only way to compare the hundreds of athletes who think they have a chance.

measurables aint worth any points.

What kind of comment is that? If measurables are not important, I guess you would recruite without asking for the athlete's stats (which aint worth points either)? I've looked at the profiles of Cozart, McBride, Watson, Opoku- Darkwa, ALL GREAT athletes, and Earnhardt's are better overall. I'll admit, I've not seen any of these players in a game. You probably haven't either. If he's not Vol material, I'd like to here your reasoning.

Hey eb4heisman, tell Brady next time you see him to work on his web page... Very hard to read.. IMO, he'd be a good one to move around, RB, slot, maybe some snaps at WR. He's be tough to defend.

Well, if you can complete a handoff without fumbling, you're already better than Crompton. :)

no im not kidding around or being sarcastic.

what good does it do to compare his measurables to other running backs. all of these people on here that are super defensive of the kid and obviously know him or go to school with him keep talking about his measurables. its a measurables overload. no im not a recruiting genuis, but i bet our staff looks at more than just the rivals profile to see the measurables before they recruit someone.

as far as the comment about hair color, i dont even know what to make of that.

alright i will tell him to get on that, although im not sure if its actually him that does it.
and haha yeah id hope im atleast better than crompton ha, cause i can complete a successful handoff :)
