Even with Monte Lance was struggling to bring in linebackers in this class.
Strangest thing...
UT has a tradition of sending lots of LBs to the NFL.
I wish that Al Wilson cared to learn how to coach LB so that he could be our LB coach in a few years.
ESPN isnt that good with recruiting analysis but when they say someone commits its usually right. But not five-star DE Jackson Jeffcoat, who is expected to pledge to Texas this morning. But the Sooners did bounce back nicely and, according to ESPN affiliate OUInsider.com, secure four-star LB Corey Nelson, who had committed to Texas A&M last summer. Most observers acknowledged that Oklahoma had made up a lot of ground on the Aggies but still expected Nelson to honor his original commitment, so this rates as a bit of a coup.
It'll be interesting to see how much Nelson plays next fall. If he's still under 200 pounds he might need a redshirt year before he's ready to do battle in the Big 12. OU loses two starting LBs (OLB Keenan Clayton and MLB Ryan Reynolds) but has plenty of depth behind them.

But they were wrong.Under Armour All-American Corey Nelson still committed to Texas A&M
Despite reports, four-star outside linebacker Corey Nelson (Dallas/Skyline) is still committed to Texas A&M and has not switched to Oklahoma, ESPN affiliate Web site TexAgs.com reports.
Nelson said via text, "I'm not committed to OU and I will remain an Aggie. It's my future. Report that please. Tell everyone I'm through with recruiting and I will remain at A&M. It's my future."
