I would have to say that on the Ol where bodies go down alot during the season and stay down you can never have one more thats just too many.

We already have 4 and I'd bet you money that none of the guys we signed play a down next season. The worst place you can start freshman is o-line because its such a mental position and you have to be so physically developed to play it. Its better to wait in a position like that where they aren't going to play immediately anyways.

Also a few of the current players may transfer in the spring or some get kicked off the team for grades, possible legal issues, etc. If this was a team that was stable and had continuity I would agree with you.

maybe he is being told to wait until the new dc and new dl coach get a chance to evaluate him as a dt prospect

Dunno about all this DT stuff with Glass, but what's the deal with him?? He has 4 offers, one from us, called us all Dec to take a look at him, which X didn't want to, then we offer him, & he doesn't sign with anyone! What's up?

I'm not sure that Tennessee has offered him yet. I would like to see us get Dalvin Glass (OG) and Dak Smith (DT). That would make our class!!!

I thought he was a back-up plan if Stone went elsewhere.

we are at roughly 80 scholarships if everybody we signed makes it in.... so we do have a few to play with

Why would he not just sign him now when we have a spot and we could use one more person in his spot. If i was Glass I would be insulted. have to pay for one year at a Juco and then you'll sign me. How does that benefit him or even us really? We havent been a sign and place team since 2002.
