And Texas is having a major problem of keeping the very best players in-state. Just look at Seastrunk, Jeffcoat, and White...

Guys who know quite about Texas recruiting were talking about it here the other day... In recent years Texas gets a big headstart but kind of loses steam. They don't get many big prospects late, kind of odd.

Back before Bama landed all of the three OL commitments it has now, Bama was evaluating Glass thoroughly and liked what they saw. Scout was reporting that Bama was real high on him. I think he may be underrated. With some S&C and coaching up, I think he might become a real good one. UT just might take him. JMHO.

New update with Scout.com's Allen Wallace says Glass is considering in-season visits to UT, Bama and Arkansas.

Scout.com: Vols Pursue Glass

Glass likes the Vols' staff and says, that they're recruiting him the hardest.

We definitely need some more talent for the interior part of the line.

“They’re pretty much the ones that are recruiting me the most,” Glass said. “Tennessee is probably sending the most mail and consistent but the other two have been calling and stuff too.”

“I really like the coaches at Tennessee,” he said. “(Defensive back) coach Willie Mack Garza is into me and calls me. We just talk about different things. Mostly football stuff. He really wants me to come there for a visit or to a game.”

Per Scout... His final 3 is UT, Kansas St., and Bama...

I think it is down to us and K-State. Bama has a few good OL recruits already and they will probably sit a year or two before seeing significant playing time.

K-State has been in on a few top level recruits lately.

LV, wouldnt Ut have many more oline guys ahead of Glass?

Yea, maybe 7 or 8. The thing that makes him an interesting prospect is that UT needs guards bad, and that is what he plays. James, Stone, Robinson, Cullen, and Leifheit are all tackles. Moses and Glass are the only 2 guards that UT is looking at that I know of. Some say Stone is going to be a guard, but Chaney really wants Stone at tackle...

Glass might be a big time sleeper as well. This time last year, he was one of the highest rated o-linemen in the country. But some things happened, he put on some bad weight, and his stock took a hit. But the talent and ability is still there...

I dunno, you may be right. It sounded more like UT-Bama in that article. He talked alot about Bama, and barely mentioned KSU. It seemed like the only reason he listed them was because he would have a great chance to see the field there...

But you're about KSU's recruiting. Kenny Davis is a big time JUCO player. They might also end up with (might lead for now) Cam Newton and Dexter Ransom...

Scout.com’s No. 25 offensive guard in the country says that Tennessee is recruiting him the hardest.

“I like the system they run,” he said about the Vols. “They are a good team and they aren’t very deep at linemen because a few will be graduating and leaving. I think I could come in and help early.”

Glass doesn’t have any official visits yet, but hopes to take a few next month. “I’ll try and take a couple trips before I commit,” he said.

Per Scout... Glass has UT and Kansas St. tied as his leader...

X and O, otherwise known as the Tic Tac Toe staff, quit recruiting him.

(Funny how it's hard to have a winner in Tic Tac Toe)

With the new regime, maybe things will change

According to scout and rivals he is uncommited and according to rivals us and kstate are in the lead. I dont have a subscription to either though so I can't really tell you anymore than that.

We need this kid on Campus. Hopefully DD has a call or visit scheduled for this kid. Scout says he is explosive off the ball and that would be great if we continue to zone block.
