Coach says that Carter high will have 2 D1 commits this year and he named Dalvin Glass an ol and rivals 3* as going to sign with UT.

I believe he means Tennessee, because he doesn't have an offer from Texas and Tennessee is one of his finalists.

There have been lots of questions about whether venerable Carter coach Allen Wilson will return to the Cowboys, but the 58-year-old Wilson told theoldcoach.com on Tuesday afternoon that he's still on the job at Carter.

"We're still here," Wilson said. "I've always considered myself to be day-to-day for a while. But I'm still here."

Wilson did add a couple "for nows" in the conversation. But Dallas ISD athletic director Jeff Johnson also reports that he's had no discussions about Wilson leaving or needing to find a new coach for the Cowboys.

Carter's Allen Wilson said he's still the Cowboys' coach.

A former small-school All-American at Abilene Christian, Wilson led Paris to a 1988 Class 4A state title and John Tyler to a 1994 5A state title. He's been at Carter since 2002. The Cowboys have advanced three times to the third round in the last seven years. Carter lost to Carrollton Newman Smith in the second round of the '09 playoffs.
