'10 WA QB Jake Heaps

You don't know me. I've spent the majority of my life in the South too (roughly 2/3 of my life), but I've never followed college sports until I got to college. Even right now, I still prefer major league. Hell, I didn't even care about the local college team during my time in the South nor do I care about that division (which as a hint is not SEC and a bit more west).

What, Southern California? Arizona? Nevada? I hope not. I hope you are saying you were in Texas.

"The South" is from Virginia to Texas. And if you were in Texas and didn't care about college football, you were probably the only one.

As surprising as it sounds to you, few cared about UT, Texas A&M, or Texas Tech football.

People cared more about a potential NBA championship (though disappointing), a MLB playoff run (though the rotation sucks recently), a rising football team (though they still suck). The only time UT football really jumped out at me was when the 2006 Rose Bowl took over the whole place. But other than that, college football is relatively unknown or unimportant.

You lived in Austin, didn't you?

well... Austin doesn't have a NBA, MLB, or NFL team...

There's only two cities with all 3.

But on the other hand, I can imagine the amount of hype for Texas football in Austin, but there just wasn't much hype for NCAA football when people just simply cared more about the majors.

Skyline beat Jesuit, the #1 ranked 6A team in Oregon, 17-0 in Heaps' first game of the year. Jake was 18-33 for 152 yards and 2 TDs...

Steve S can do his best but UW is not all the way back. Watching though against LSU the program is headed in the right direction. It is shocking how much they care and how much they support a program that was 0-12 last year.

you know hes going to BYU right?

Didn't Steve S play at BYU? So Washington kid leaves the state for the school that the Huskies coach played for...

i think after saturday nights win he has no interest at all at any other school i think that heaps wouldnt go to another school if someone payed him to well usc already has a qb so i dont think there gonna go after him anyway haha

Heaps takes the top honors in the accuracy challenge. He's been the best QB for the West all week.
