cap gains hikes with marginal rates climbing. the upper middle class style wealthy will leave your flock in a hurry, for they will move sharply to the middle class.

Yeah, Oil broke the $98.00 level in early trading this morning. Gold is up $20 a oz. this morning WOW! while the d$mn dollar keeps on going down.:bad:..Its like a free fall...I keep hearing $115 to $120 is going to be the new trading range for the first part of the new year. Who Knows..:dunno:

They were talking about $4/gallon gas this summer. Combine that with the sinking dollar (1.00 US dollar = 1.08 Can dollar), seems like we are in for a hard recession.

I think the next car I buy would be a hybrid if they make any good ones. I don't think we are causing global warming but am becoming more and more agitated with America's dependence on oil from nations that are essentially enemies.

You'd be better off buying a gasoline powered economy car like a Honda Civic. The added weight and potential future expense of replacing the batteries in a hybrid make them not very cost effective in the long term.

I was wondering about those things. Don't know much about them. I would want a truck or SUV and see those Ford hyrbrid commercials. Figured someone on here would know about them.

I keep thinking how stupid it is that our economy is so heavily reliant on a non-renewable resource that comes from a hostile area. The oil crisis was, what, 35 years ago? The government couldn't provide grants to research a fuel source which would make oil obsolete? The government is run by idiots.

when did it become a government function to provide alternative fuel solutions to the free market. the day it becomes economically viable to pur jillions into it, the private market will do so. As long as oil has remained cheap, it has made no sense. People expecting to be run by government are idiots.

PM's are good investments. I think that silver will prove to have a better margin than gold, because its not as plentiful.

Oil is like a rocket today, Up $3.01 .The pain at the pump is just going to get worse. Im not really sure how much more folks can take.
