Then who? Because we saw what happened after the assistants left.

Ed O isn’t a good HC he had a loaded roster with elite assistants.
The AD is going to allow the HC to pick what assistants he hires. Come on man.

O made the call to bring in Joe Brady. It paid off handsomely. Did he get lucky with that hire? Sure, probably, but he still made the call.

Yea, that’s true.
I’ll stop messing around now for the sake of conversation

35-6, 7 minutes to go. That Alabama win is looking better by the minute.
Makes TNs win over AL look good

Unfortunately does the same for their resume angainst any and all college teams that might end up tied with them at 2 losses.

Strong win against currently-top 5 UGA,
win against currently-top 15 LSU,
win against top 25 Missouri,
losses to currently 6-4 Vanderbilt and currently top-10 Tennessee.

1 time?

Hell Butch Jones beat Kirby Smart.

What a bad comparison lol Yeah Butch jones in Year 4 beat Kirby Smart on a Hail Mary in year 1. Whereas Kelly in year one beat Saben in year 15.

Look I don’t like the guy and think he’s a bit overrrated myself but ain’t no one saw bama beating them this bad coming.

Seriously fill me in. I expected LSU to smash them 💀 wtf happened
They have no running game. Their rbs are small and their only big one, Emery, went out with injury. They bragged they had the best OL in the nation and the starters were pretty good, but no seasoned depth behind them; starter Dellinger was out tonight. WRs also struggling with injuries.

On the D, lost their best DT at begining of season, and most athletic LB early in season. Their DL has nothing like the depth that we do. DBs were awful last year, and a bit improved this year, but still too inconsistent.

So, some bad luck with injuries, but lay it at the feet of Kelly for not stockpiling the depth he would need. He just whines about NIL and the portal, but like it or not, that is the world we are now living in.

I honestly just expected LSU to shred Bamas ****** secondary tbh lol I knew LSU would struggle containing Milroe on the ground but thought they would do better than what they did. Oh well. Boomer Sooner and War Eagle. Ya never know I guess 💀

LSU got smoked. Is Kelly still crying about that facemask call? 🤣

Yes, I too thought LSU would do better, and home crowd would make a difference. They knew going in they need to contain Milroe ... could not get it done.

At least when Texas fans threw trash on the field, it was over a bad call.
I wanted your opinion bc there are some in the FF that seem to think w/ an exact same 10-2 record Bama would get in the CFP ahead of the Vols, despite a TN h2h win. Do you see a scenario where this happens?

If UGA beats UT and then everyone wins out, it will almost certainly happen because Bama will be ranked higher. I'm not even hoping for that, though. I'd rather Bama make the playoff without the SECCG.

Wouldn’t the committee be setting a pretty bad precedent by having Bama getting in the CFP and TN being left out if Tennessee beat Bama head to head and also beat Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt?

UT wouldn't necessarily be left out of the CFP unless UGA crushes them.

But you’re saying that you think Bama should and will get a higher seed in the CFP than UT if UGA beats UT in Athens and then both Bama win out from there ?

They'd be ranked higher after the last week of the season, yes. Almost certainly.

It seems like the folks in Tuscaloosa would have a major issue w/ this if the situation were reversed.

Probably, but what of it? Bama beat UGA, UT beat Bama, and (hypothetically) UGA beat UT. And Bama's SOS is, and will likely finish, far ahead of Tennessee's

we just need to beat UGA, I don’t care if it’s 4 overtimes by one point

Well, I think that there’s more to the equation than just UT, Bama and UGA. In this hypothetical, we have UT, UGA, and Bama all finishing at 10-2, with UT’s second loss coming from UGA. Between UT and Bama there are 3 common opponents I think. UGA, Vandy and OU. So if there is a H2H that advantage goes to UT, vs UGA (Bama home win) , @ Vandy for both (advantage UT) and both winning at OU. Shouldn’t the H2H and the win @ Vandy be the tie breaker for a higher ranking for UT?

I cannot envision many scenarios in which UT loses to UGA and Bama wins out that leave UT ranked over Bama.

But for purposes of the SECCG, the Vandy results might make the difference depending on which teams remain tied at 6-2. If it's more than a three-way tie between Bama, UT, and UGA (some combination of Texas, A&M, OM, and LSU), then common opponents won't matter and Tennessee would have almost no shot due to a weak record amongst their conference opponents.

LSU issues are a complete lack of recruiting in all available turnstiles. There is a noticeable lack of talent accross the board and should be unacceptable by LSU standards of past recruiting.
