haven't heard anything saying Clay would do that if Florida didn't extend him an offer but his reasoning probably has something to do with him being a Gator fan and his brother and former team leader being a freshman QB here.

2011 Watch List defensive end Clay Burton will be courted heavily this summer as he makes the rounds on the recruiting trail, with upwards of 10 offers from top schools already on the table.

He tells recruiting blogger Phil Kornblut of South Carolina's The State that Georgia Tech and Clemson are his top two schools. But we would advise Tigers fans not to get too carried away considering the kid's talking to a home state paper, which always seems to add pressure with recruits. And the fact Burton reportedly has visits lined up to Notre Dame, LSU and Tennessee this summer.

It appears certain, though, that he won't follow his brother, Trey, who singed last season to be a quarterback for their home state Florida Gators.

Let's be honest here.............is this kid good enough to be a Florida DE with the type of DE's we have put out the last 4 or 5 years?

The 2 DE's we brought in this year were #1 and #12 in the country. It just doesn't look like this kid is an elite talent. Now, Florida could offer certainly, but he isn't a high priority.

After reading the article on him and his respective commentary, I don't like our chances with him at this point. The things he wants out of his prospective program aren't exactly things UT can offer at this point (particularly, champion contenders).

Yeah I would say all bets are off then. He would be all gator. Since big brother is already there but I don't think Pagan would be a bad pick up either if UT got him.
