'11 FL DE James Wilder Jr.

bingo. end of thread? its kind of depressing reading about this beast man child knowing that he will end up playing for one of our 2 biggest rivals.

no not the end of the thread. his coach says he is interested in Bama, UF, FSU, and Tennessee. Wilder told Bryant last night that he plans on visiting.

still a long longshot, but not the end.

Unofficial? If so, the rock needs to get some new artwork.

Anyone know if we are recruiting him at a specific position, or just saying "come here and you will play wherever you want"?

IMO the only shot we have at him is by getting Ely and having the package...one heck of a package but one heck of a long shot too.. We have the type of offense he is looking for with the power back..so you never know!

Yeah, they look like they would be friends..:)

Those were definitely socks at one point in time. Kids these days...

players have been cutting the tops off of socks for like 20 yrs now (esp at nike schools)
Even our Tennessee players have use the tops of socks with adidas logos.

Janzen jackson flat out had damn near an entire sock on his wrists on a number of occasions.

Lol. I'll accept 20 years as an exaggeration, but I was aware of that. I still think its funny that kids put socks on their arms/wrist like that. I guess I just don't see that purpose it serves other than decoration.

Play on field turf.

Haven't posted in months but will be back this recruiting season as it heat ups. Gator Mods seem pretty confident on this one. Also hearing he may make an announcement sooner rather than later but kids change their mind all the time. Also hearing Gator coaches are willing to let him play RB which seems to be his preference.

i thought LV said a little while back that the UF coaches were not going to allow him to play RB?

I should have been more clear. UF coaches want him at LB and from what I have read most scouts believe he has a better future at LB going forward. Urban won't turn Wilder away if he wants to play RB because he simply has too much talent. They will initially allow him to play RB and if it doesn't work out simply switch him to LB.
