Seems like a fine line then, Hot or cold. You said heating up...wouldn't leading for a big time DT or two (with a couple lesser DT's already committed) be considered heating up? If you are not going to get excited until they actually sign then what's heating up actually mean? Seems to me like you won't really be excited until NSD with a signature anyway so "heating up" would be pointless anyway, no?

Has he committed? I would not take what Johnson or Wright says seriously until they sign their LOI even if the commit to UT. IF they sign with UT I would ecstatic.

That's exactly the point I was trying to make, thank you.

How many quality DBs are we in on? How many quality DTs are be in on? If we were in on as many DTs as we are with DBs then that's what I would call heating up. Where we could take our pick of the guys we want. If we did end up with both Johnson and Wright to go with the commits we already have plus a JUCO DT then I would say that we had a solid DL class.

Point? "And this..?" with a link to a young man that changes his mind about what school is his leader just about every other article that comes out. I know we have been in his top schools as well as Wright's but these young men like to play the recruiting game more so than others so it's hard to get excited about them.

For those with a Rivals account, watch some of Harris's videos. After watching these videos and seeing King in person, Harris is higher on my board. Kid is a great one-on-one, open field tackler and for someone who only weighs 175 he'll flat knock you out. One video has him running a 4.38 forty, while his profile is a more modest 4.45...either way he's quick as hell.

“I have it pared down to Stanford and Tennessee, but it’s never too late for Notre Dame,” he said. “That’s a school that I’d give serious consideration.

“I’ve taken an official visit to Stanford,” he said. “I went unofficially to Tennessee for a camp and I went the year before that for a game.

“I don’t have an official visit set up with Tennessee. I’m pretty busy with my basketball season. Hopefully I’ll schedule my official visit during our bye week.”

Backup option behind Lanier, Moore, Loften, & Orta.

Not to short for college, but we won't ever find out, because we ARE NOT gonna be striking out on our guys in front of this cat.

I think Dooley wants bigger corners to cover taller receivers like Bama has. They are hard to find with the speed required to play CB. IMHO, we need CBs closer to 6'.

Glad we're still in it with Harris. Watch the guy's videos and I think people's opinions/reservations about him might change a bit. I hate it that he's on the shorter side cause he is a lockdown corner.

Does this guy have his own thread? I didn't see one. Anyway, ESPN's discussion of SEC recruiting classes says: "Cornerback Ronnie Harris (Atlanta, Ga./Westlake) is another name Tennessee is working hard for and its primary competition appears to be Stanford."

I guess I'm not gifted with the search engine and now look like an idiot for posting the above as a new thread. Sorry.

This is the kid I prefer to Moore and Lanier. Kid has a 3.9 and a 1480 SAT score, and wants to become a cardiologist! With him and Randolph in the secondary at the same time I doubt we would see many blown assignments or reads. That's my uneducated opinion.

Not sure if serious.

Smart football players is very underrated. Look at the FSU VT game. FSU has better athletes but missed countless assignments. If you arent in the right spot your athleticism does you nothing

That can go both ways though.

Edit: Also Book Smarts =/= Football Smarts

He might be a take, along with Marcus, if the staff misses on Moore and Lanier imo
