Scout.com: Greg Robinson Profile

Auburn and LSU have been atop the list of four-star OG Greg Robinson of Louisiana for a while now, but rather than focusing on his two favorites, Robinson has added a third school to his list: Alabama.

Robinson tells ESPN Recruiting's Justin Hopkins: "I decided I at least needed to visit Alabama and check out the campus. I think Alabama had given up for a little while recruiting me, but they started back up and I realized I need to get up there."

Robinson, who is being recruited at OT by most programs, says he plans to take his five officials before making a decision. Tennessee is a likely candidate one of the final two slots, with the last one still up for grabs.

Auburn is still thought to have the inside track because Robinson's former high school teammate Trovon Reed is a freshman WR on The Plains. But it's never easy to get Louisiana talent out of the state -- there were plenty of rumors last winter that Reed was going to switch to LSU -- so we'll see what happens with Robinson.
Number 19 person on rivals.

with Trovon Reed being at Auburn and with LSU already having 3 stud commits on the OL, Auburn may be in the drivers seat.

I would love to have him at UA but unless he told the coaches for sure that he was coming he will not be here. We have maybe 2 spots left on the OL for recruits and Cyrus will get one. And not even sure we will take another at this point but it beleived that X Ward might try and commit to us and most believe we will take his.

I agree with this interpretation, but LSU doesn't let the top state players out easily. I think it will definitely come down to those two. I hope we impress though.

Even with La'El Collins, Trai Turner, and Corey White...I think it is a definite possibility he is looking elsewhere.

But I know your opinion isn't biased at all.

My Opinion is most definitely biased, but having talked to him at the Camp(that's right He WAS there despite what AU reports say) but he is leaning to LSU, and has been the entire time. He wants to see how LSU season turns out, because right now he isn't the biggest fan of the hat, but neither is 80% of the Fanbase LOL.

Auburn can post all the false reports they want to make themselves feel important, but by no means does that mean they are in the damn drivers seat.

Can't argue with that. I figured LSU wouldn't let in-state players like Robinson get away easy. If LSU gets Robinson, must be on of the best OL hauls of any class.

To be honest... If I were a talented kid like that I would rather play for an unknown than Les Miles. I just think he squanders ALOT of talent.

What I find interesting is the state of LA is loaded with talent this year, which is usually a good sign for LSU, but there seems to be alot of smoke regarding their current commits and hopefuls that are all looking elsewhere. Now as seen the LSU fans are quick to jump in and say they are all LSU locks but these players are visiting and their interest is from their quotes. It is not like writers are speculating without the player helping out with quotes.

I do think alot for LSU depends on their season, but it is apparant that CLM future is in doubt, which is getting these players to atleast look at other schools to better position themselves if the ship sinks at LSU. The reason so many that have not commited are waiting.

A ton of the commits plan on taking all their visits just like every year. I am not saying we could not lose a couple but this year is nothing unusual. As far as I can tell our core guys are pretty solid, matter of fact most of them are recruiting as well.

There is really not many left on the board that LSU is going to take a commit from right now, maybe 4-6 guys in state. You have to understand, we won't be signing 30 guys for 2011, the number I was given was 23 and I suspect it might be way under that, I just don't see how they get to 23... we are already over at 12 as is.

This is a fairly easy year for recruiting for LSU, large quantity and quality of recruits in the State... matter of fact I would say the best class La has ever produced.... but limited slots available.

This won't be the best class for LSU in quantity but it will be for quality unless something drastic happens.

I suspect there will be quite a few 4-stars not offered by LSU in the state this year. Ethan Hudson already got left out in the cold.

What excuse.

We have 12 recruits and I believe we are already 3 over I think that is even counting Peterson going to the NFL. LSU is going to have a small class as is, we need 2 QBs and have plenty of guys lining up to fill the remaining spots.

LSU could probably have 2 Top 10 classes out of the State this year out of the talent pool in the state. We certainly are not going to have 30 recruits this years.

he made JR a 1st Round Pick, Ciron Black looks like a 1st Round Pick (SEC ALL-AMERICAN), 3* Lafell into 3 Round, etc. ..just sayin

word on the street is that we'll try to get 25-28 this year by since we had to cut three players in the spring

Honestly, you just make my point for me. Considering the talent that has run thorugh BR... many more should have been in the NFL... and LSU should have been much more dominant than they were.

I don't see how LSU gets to those numbers. We would have to lose 15+ guys over and beyond what is expect graduation, known medical issues, and draft.

I just don't see how they get to that number right now.

LSU I believe has the most NFL players, at least the last time I heard about such things. Usually it's like USC, UF, Texas, OSU, and LSU.

UF and LSU have been the most dominate teams in college football over the last 10 years, I would give UF the title as most dominate.

I don't expect LSU to be top 3 for 2-3 years. You can't win every game nor win the title every year. LSU's last two mediocre years can be traced back to a few issues which I believe are being solved. I would consider less than 4 loses this year as successful.

LSU has definitely been the most dominant and underachieving but anything otherwise is a joke. They lucked their way into that second national title and to think otherwise is another joke.

Easily should have owned College Football with the talent they have. If you ever get a coach down there with a friggin clue, it will be game over.

I for one hope Les Miles is there for another 20 years.
