LSU has definitely been the most dominant and underachieving but anything otherwise is a joke. They lucked their way into that second national title and to think otherwise is another joke.

Easily should have owned College Football with the talent they have. If you ever get a coach down there with a friggin clue, it will be game over.

I for one hope Les Miles is there for another 20 years.

Me too, I hope Miles coaches the corndogs for many years to come.

I think you are just mad at the state of your own team.

USC, Texas, Ohio State and UF has had the most stable high ranking recruiting classes.

Actually, Tennessee's classes haven't been far behind. I am so sorry you so upset to act like this.

Next LSU baseball sucks because they didn't win the World series this year. :) Rewriting history is fun to watch.

Good attempt at spinning it around but you cant deny the obvious. LSU has had the most talented team year in and year out period for a long time.

I am sorry Les Miles spends more time giving stupid quotes than he does actual coaching.

Spinning Tennesse's average recruiting class via rivals from 2002-2009 is 10.6... although it's not the best it certainly is high enough to put a good team on the field.

Here is my stats on recruiting using Rivals stats from 2002-2009. Average class rankings:

1.) USC 4.2 (NC 2004)
2.) Georgia 6.6
3.) LSU 6.7 (NC 2003/2007 and if it were not for bonehead Russell against AU good chance for another in 2006)
4.) UF 7.5 (NC 2006/2008)
5.) OK 7.7 (NC 2000)

Other notables:
Florida State 8.7
Texas 9.5 (NC 2005)
Tennessee 10.6
Auburn 12.6
Ohio State 12.6 (NC 2002)

I have no idea what you are talking about #3 in recruiting and two National Championships. Nice spin, sorry Tennessee has had more than decent recruiting. I mean you started this hate, I guess that is what one does when they have lost hope.

USC has clearly been the #1 recruiting school over the last decade, hands down. Georgia to me has had the best stable recruiting over the decade their worst class was #10 in 2005.

Hey,LSU-SIU you really think CLM is a top tier coach?IMOP he & CMR does less with more than any coach in the conference.

What argument? He said LSU had the best classes year in and year out. Simple is not true. I am proud of our teams, we have had a great baseball team as well, don't expect them to win it every year either. You guys are something else.

Never said he was a Top Coach, neither is Mac Brown so what, still puts a good team on the field and has won a NC. I don't expect my team to win every year, you are doom for disappointment if that is the case I assure you Tennessee is not going to win a NC every year and it doesn't matter what your recruiting is or what coach you have.

I think Carroll was one of the better college coaches, and had the best talent IMHO... does that always lead to a NC, NO!

your defense of miles. the OP wasnt calling out LSU, he was calling out your coach. and the point is that they have some of, if not the best talent, year in and year out, and rarely do crap during the season.

You would be begging for LSU's record during that time period. You guys sound very depressed and lost all hope in your own program. You have unrealistic expectations so I assure you will disappointing in your up coming seasons.

Tennessee has had excellent talent as well, didn't do anything with it, so what? We did. You are very confused. I mean if you talking about Georgia or something maybe you would have a point.

We got our last NC trophy 29 months ago, this is funny. Everyone panic, haven't had a baseball crown in 13 months... oh boy, so worried I am. :) Freaking Saints are probably doomed to, haven't won the Superbowl in the last 5 months.

Life is a series of cycles guys or waves. I for one don't expect LSU to compete for NC for at least 2-3 more years. Cycles. We'll be fine, can't promise a NC this year and I am ok with that. I mean you guys are complaining about miles, heck it's Crowton's neck I want to have a piece of.

what unrealistic expectation do i have? i expect at most 6 wins out of my team this year. difference between my team and yours? my team has no depth at DT, and very little depth at most other positions. my team is starting a new QB, RB, and OLine this year. My team has its 3rd coach in 3 years, is well under the 85 limit, and had to sign some low caliber guys just to get there. what hardships is ur team undergoing? because i know if i as in your shoes, expecting anything less than competeing for the SEC title would be pathetic.

and what Tennessee team has had such "excellent" talent in the past few years? heck what Tennessee team in the past 10 years has had "excellent" talent, and hasnt at least strongly competed in the SEC? give me a break. LSU should be right up there with UF and Bama every year, but they are not because everyone knows they will underachieve.

1. stop talking about baseball. no one cares.
2. stop acting like we are saying CLM has to win the NC every year. all i am saying is that he should be strongly competitive with the teams he has, and he usually isnt.

The reason you had to get rid of the coach is because you didn't do anything with the talent.

Yes, Miles and LSU has had nothing to overcome, you should have seen the first football game Miles coached, you know when that was.... yeah a week after the freaking Hurricane hit. Give me a break.

Cry me a river. Miniature violins, what you have offered is excuses, I don't know why you gave those excuses to me because I never asked for them. You guys start the hate then offer every excuse in the book.

Are you confusing LSU with Tennessee, do you have some type of mental problem. A Vols talking about not putting a competitive to another team is kind of laughable.

You are a wacko, we could have 3 NCs and you would be saying how we should have 4. How many NCs should USC have? Or Georgia? Or Florida State? Or Tennesssee? Please do tell wacko.

You have so much despair in your own team you have nothing else to do but complain that another team doesn't have 3 National Championships. Funny.

LSU-SIU I'm glad he's your coach & not ours.

Why you keep going back to Miles is beyond me, no he is not the best coach, he isn't the worse coach, he is going to be on the hot seat if no improvement this year. So what? He's a great guy and program is still in fine shape.

If the offense doesn't move up to the middle of the pack he will have heat coming hard. No doubt there.

A good season would be 4 or less loses IMHO. No, LSU will not be competing for a NC this year and it doesn't matter who the coach is. The team is very young which is why we don't have many slot available for the 2011 class. And to be honest Jefferson is good enough to get us 8-10 wins but he is not good enough to carry the team to the upper ranks. IMHO

lulz, i, as well as everyone else on here says UGA underachieves each year as well. its got nothing to do with "despair in my own team. i know we are down, but i also know we will be back soon. meanwhile LSU will just continue to be a "pretty good" team with excellent talent that never pays off. that is, until the get rid of CLM. get over yourself.

-wacko out.

UPDATE: And this is why keeping up with recruiting is such a losing battle. One day after a report (below) that he had expanded his list, Greg Robinson tells Bryan Matthews of ESPN affiliate AuburnUndercover.com that Auburn's Tigers are his leader. "It's Auburn because I've spent more time hanging out with (Trovon Reed)," Robinson said. "It's really a nice feeling just to know I can come hang out up here. When I go to LSU it's more of the recruiting process. I don't know why."

Robinson added about LSU: "The only reason I?ll stay in LSU is if I feel I need to stay home." But Robinson said he had relatives in Alabama as well, so he'd be close to family whichever school he picked.

Nowhere in his interview with Matthews does Robinson mention Alabama.

I'm not gonna sit here and say I disagree with LSU-SIU. 1. He makes a good point, sometimes me as a fan believes beyond expectations I grew up through Tennessee's strongest years.
