“I just got an offer from Tennessee’s new coaching staff,” Sylve said. “I’m very excited about the offer. I got to know Coach Terry Joseph really well, when he and Coach Dooley was at Louisiana Tech. I’m pretty tight with Coach Joseph,he is a great guy..”

“I like Tennessee,” Sylve said. “I plan on taking an unofficial visit there sometime this summer, maybe even attend a camp there.”

“I have a good relationship with the new Tennessee coaches, you never know it’s a place I might end up,” Sylve said. “You never know.”

found this really good article on this kid, he's one of the top sprinters in the nation as well, so that 4.3 40 doesn't seem like a stretch

PORT SULPHUR, La. — Bradley Sylve climbed into a familiar sprinter’s crouch at South Plaquemines High School, feet in the starting blocks, knees bent, head down, chin tucked into his chest. There was one odd thing: the blocks were anchored to the goal line instead of to the starting line.

It is impressive enough that Sylve won Louisiana state championships at 100 meters and 200 meters last year as a freshman. And that he appears to be one of the nation’s two fastest all-around sophomore sprinters. He won a 2009 indoor state title at 55 meters, finished eighth in a national indoor meet at 60 meters and has posted electronically timed outdoor marks of 10.62 seconds in the 100 and 21.66 in the 200, along with hand-timed bests of 10.35 and 21.53.

"I definitely had fun today," Sylve said. "Overall it was a good time. Today was really important for me because I got the chance to sit down with the coaching staff at LSU for a lot of one-on-one time. I got to talk to them at length and that was something that I really wanted to do. I was happy we were able to do that so I could get a lot of questions answered and just get to know them better. We got to talk about a lot of stuff.

"I got to talk to (LSU Head Coach) Les Miles and (LSU Assistant Coaches) Frank Wilson and Billy Gonzales. They are all really nice guys. There was a lot of football talk but also a lot of LSU the school talk. I wanted to know a lot about the school as well as what they do football-wise and all three coaches were really open and answered all my questions. I got a really good feeling out of them."

"Before today LSU was my number one school but honestly after getting the chance to sit down and talk with them they are really my number one school," Sylve said. "Everything seems to really be working out right now and I am excited. The commitment thought did cross my mind but I could say now that the deadline in my head has moved up. I will be committing before my senior season starts, probably sometime in August as opposed to after my senior football season is over."

in all honesty, this kid is from about as far SE LA as it gets. That area has always been arguably the biggest LSU strong hold of any in that state, now w/ Wilson there, 99% of kids will be a longshot for any OOS school.

Sylve has made unofficial visits to LSU and Alabama in the new year, and the Tigers and Crimson Tide, as well as the Vols, are currently at the top of his favorites list.

Tennessee looks like they have a good program. Coach Terry Joseph came over from (Louisiana) Tech and I have a good relationship with him."

"I'm looking to get some playing time right away. I don't want to wait until my junior or senior year to play. I know that Alabama only really has Julio Jones at receiver, and I know that LSU is stacked. I know that Tennessee is low on wide receivers too. I'm just looking for where I can be successful and make it to the League."

Per Rivals...

He consistently names us in his top 3 despite never visiting Knoxville. He says he isn't going to commit until late in process either. We may have an outside shot with him later on.

Or the fact that LSU has had some of the best playmakers to come out of high school the past few years and have done an absolute terrible job getting them the ball. Scott has been the only real weapon on that team thats seen the touches he should have.

Ok, let me get this right... "best playmakers to come out of high school the past few years". Now "few" to me is 2.

Now if you really knew what you are talking about you wouldn't have said this.... basically LSU has not recruited very well at all in 2008 and 2009 in the RB and WR positions. Matter of fact the only true RB recruited in those years was Michael Ford in 2009, who was redshirted.

3 WRs have signed Molton, Chris Tolliver and Rueben Randle in 2008 and 2009 that actually played on the team. Molton transferred to La. Tech. Tolliver was redshirted in 2008 and saw limited playing time. Randle was a star recruit but as a freshman trying to beat out LaFell and T. Tolliver is pretty much a no go... he did play well when given a chance and was the 3rd WR by the end of the year.

The only other player I can think of is Shepard who was dead set on playing QB, well, he wasn't QB material but did see plenty of playing time and in fact did have some big plays. He is now a full-time WR so he will see the ball more now.

LSU has in fact been very limited in getting top WR and RBs in 2008 and 2009, I would say that is the understatement of the year. That is why LSU signed quite a few in 2010 class. So, I have no idea what you are talking about, actually the problem started in 2007... we did get Bryd but he was CC and T. Toliver but no RBs and now only one WR on the roster from that class.

Then you make some comment about Scott being the only talent on the team that touched the ball, well I would like to know who was touching the ball since he broke his collarbone in the Alabama game. Now if you want to say the offensive coordinator has done a bad job, I am alright with that... hinting that LSU has had big time recruits at the skilled positions is not only wrong but way wrong. By the end of the year, LSU was down to 2 RBs on the active roster besides the redshirts.

As far as Sylve, normally I would say the chances of him not going with LSU as low, but not this year... the state is stacked with talent this year. I would put him either at the #3 or #4 WR in the state. I doubt LSU takes 4 WRs this year. We have already signed the top 2, so Sylve could be a pickup for someone.

to be fair, what has our staff shown? No way does a kid from S. Plaquemines go anywhere but LSU.
