I know LSU fans tried to beat it down your throats that he was an LSU lock but I never got that feeling. Always seemed like he wanted to say more than he did but didn't wanna piss off the Corndogs. Now he has them up in arms hahaha.

Congrats top the kid though. No way I would wanna waste my 4 years away under Les.

Most LSU fans I talked to never thought he was a lock, matter of fact most thought it was very likely he would go else where.

Here is what I said back in April.
"As far as Sylve, normally I would say the chances of him not going with LSU as low, but not this year."

Your comment about Les is funny, maybe we can hire a coach like Kiffin.

everything i have seen from LSU fans said he was a lock. sorry.

do LSU fans really believe Les is a good coach lol?

Funny, I said in this very thread he was not a lock... sorry... I guess "everything" doesn't include me. Generally, LSU gets about 90% of the recruits it wants in-state, generally, last year we really only missed on one. This year, who cares, we'll be loaded.

Hey, sorry I have no problem with our football program, no I don't love Les, but he's overall a great guy and he isn't the best and he for sure isn't the worst... Tennessee hired the worse guy.

Rewriting history because of your own frustration seems kind of futile and to me the sport would much better without you as a fan.

I am not the only fan that thought that way at all, you have no idea what you are talking about.

"congrats on thinking Myles is a good coach"

Yep, he's horrible, national champions 27 months, horrible I tell you.

The sport doesn't need you.

Go tell TigerDroppings that. They're still in denial.

He's either 2nd or 3rd WR in the state, it's no big deal. You guys act like this is just a killer for the program, sorry LSU will have an outstanding class.

I swear things must be really terrible there for you guys to be acting like this. Why to support your program, by telling all the good programs how terrible they are.

Good luck with all that.

I'd rather have Dooley than an idiot loses 2-3 games consistently when he should be playing for conference and nat'l titles. I hope you keep his ass till the end of time. See how it treats you.

I'm not a Tennessee fan. Obviously the "Capstone" in my name is lost on you.

Yeah winning the NC 28 months ago is terrible.

This forum is funny.

I can't say i love him, he's a great guy and a decent coach and actually saw the team through some terrible times like 2005.

He will be on the hotseat if he doesn't have a SEC championship in the next 2 years.

Look I really sorry you feel this way about your program, which is why you are acting this way. We'll keep on fighting along as you continue to talk about how bad the other teams that are better are just terrible.

Thanks for the laugh. Yep, LSU has a terrible program, we'll just keep our head up and continue to collect trophies, while others tell us how terrible the program is.

So, what is your point then? Sylve is probably the 2nd or 3rd ranked WR in La, that is if you don't put MaGee. It's really no big deal. LSU gets 90% of the recruits it wants in the state, this year will be no different. Top3 class easily and the team should be a monster in 2011.

Our program has nothing to do with it. LSU has a monster program, it's just that the guy in charge is a complete idiot. If Les is there for 5 years more, then your program will suffer.

The point is LSU wanted Sylve. Now that he's committed to Alabama, he becomes just "the 2nd or 3rd ranked WR in Louisiana". He was a lock forever, but now he's just another WR, right?

And "a monster in 2011"? Ha. Not with Lester at the helm. Did you block out the last two years? Has the trend of the program not hit you in the face yet? Does Larry Coker mean anything to you?

He was not a lock, there is no lock. Just because some stupid fan said he is lock doesn't make it so. Most fans including me never considered this guy a lock nor Johnson. Heck we could lose other guys, it's no big deal. Oh my a 3 star might not come, oh I guess we shut the program down.

"Did you block out the last two years?"

No, I am a fan, I don't expect the team to win a national championship every year. There is some things that could have been done better, over all we have a top 5 program. I don't expect a great 2010 season, the team will be in better shape in 2011. IMHO

As far as Sylve, it's really no big deal, trust me we will have the best class LSU has ever had regardless of the ranking. LSU gets 90% of the in-state recruits. What next, "LSU couldn't keep the #1 ranked waterboy".

"Not with Lester at the helm."

Yep, sounds like Charles Barkley saying he would bet any amount of money the Celtics would not be the Cavs the other night.

I am sorry you are so frustrated in life. Sorry we will roll on as everyone else say how terrible we are... funny stuff. Sorry, LSU has either had the top 1 or 2 football programs over the last 10 years. Rewriting history seems futile.

I mean if you are going to rip on teams you should be ripping on teams that haven't WON. This discussion is like a mad man saying how terrible Micheal Jordan is during his run. Wake me up when we haven't won a SEC or National Championship in a decade or two.

"You guys are terrible, you haven't won a National Championship in over 2 years"
"You guys are terrible, you can't recruit anymore because a recruit that is probably a 3-star left the state"
"You guys are terrible, a couple of more loses and you would have had a losing year"

I frequent LSU boards, and every LSU fan was salivating at the thought of getting him. But like clock work, as soon as he heads somewhere else, damage control was in full swing.

Rewriting history? I think it's pretty damn obvious that the program is stagnant. Where the meltdowns in the Ole Miss and Penn State games not enough of a wakeup, beyond the normal stupidity of Les Miles? He inherited a gem from Saban, and still managed to lose at least two games each season. He backed into a national title. And for all the talent LSU has signed, the offense is awful at best, and the defense lacks intensity. If honestly think things are going to change in the next two seasons, you'll be very disappointed. Believe me, I've seen a stagnant program.

Frustrated? Nope. I'm doing pretty dang good. And Alabama football ain't too shabby either.

Yet "every" doesn't include me. You know what "every LSU fan" means, right?

I am sorry your life is so hollow where you think me as a fan thinks we need to win every game. Sorry I don't feel that way, we have a good program, if steps forward don't happen in 2 years then we can talk. Les has been a GREAT guy, sorry but he is 10 times the man Saban could every wish to be. As a coach, I would not say that, as a man I would. If the team doesn't show improvement on offense this year, major changes will probably be made.

Frustrated? Nope. I'm doing pretty dang good. And Alabama football ain't too shabby either.
Yes you are. Nobody acts like this when they are not frustrated. I mean it could be in the bedroom for all I know but you are frustrated about something.

You are here ranting and raving about one of the top football programs over the last decades, yes you are frustrated, oh yes.

That's my point. You're talking about LSU being a monster in 2011, but LSU has a long ways to go, considering what 2008 and 2009 looked like.

And save me the "Saban has no character" bs. His players sure seem to love him at Alabama, despite all the negative stuff LSU fans try to conjure up from his time in Baton Rouge. Even transfers have great things to say about their time under him at Alabama.

Apparently one of the common usages of a message board is lost on you. Arguments. Don't take what's said so serious. Your continued personal attacks just further the notion that you're in denial. Just simply provide evidence that LSU of the contrary.

My only point is the rational that college football programs go through up and down cycles. The last two years is just the start for LSU. Obviously LSU has the resources be be what they were from 2003-07 once again. However, I think it's pretty obvious Les Miles won't return it there.

The frustration here comes from the above LSU poster. Look I am glad that LSU did not want this kid and we got him. And again thanks for not wanting a low 3 star WR that has alot of speed and BTW is playing in the UA-AA game.

In regards to keeping players and having a great class, you might want to wait until NSD to say that. I have followed recruiting for a while now and yes LSU usually can lock up the best instate kids in the state but the facts this year are not pointing to that. Right now the top players in the state are commiting elsewhere, than again according you they are no longer the top players when they go else where, or they are not commited and looking at schools like UA, UT, and others, or they have commited and are quoted as saying they are still looking around. BTW one of your top commits was just at UA for a visit. I know he has no interest in UA.

If LSU was in such great shape and Les doing such a great job than why did I just read an article that LSU is already talking to Gruden about coming to LSU. The fact is that CLM still has not proven he can win without CNS recruits plain and simple. This year will be the first without CNS recruits so we will all see. If not he is gone that is a lock.

In regards to you not liking CDD. Remember it was CDD that recruited all the talent for CNS that allowed CLM to come a win that NC. The reason LSU fans do not like CDD at UT is because he will come in and get top recruits eventually out of LA.

I really don't understand all the bitterness from LSU fans toward Coach Saban. He came in, built that team, won a NC, and left players that went on to win another NC. He didn't leave them for another college team or under conditions like coaches have left other SEC teams. When the Alabama job came along LSU had a coach, he came back to college football like several other college coaches have done.If you love LM so much, why the attitude toward Saban, you should be thankful he was there, because you wouldn't be where you are at now. Everyone knows that, and you do too, or you wouldn't be so bitter.

No not IMHO. Either way LSU has a good program, unless you are living on Mars.

And save me the "Saban has no character" bs. His players sure seem to love him at Alabama, despite all the negative stuff LSU fans try to conjure up from his time in Baton Rouge. Even transfers have great things to say about their time under him at Alabama.
It's not BS, LSU players loved when he was at LSU that is beside the point.

Of course, they have great things to say about him when he is there... never said otherwise.

Apparently one of the common usages of a message board is lost on you. Arguments. Don't take what's said so serious. Your continued personal attacks just further the notion that you're in denial. Just simply provide evidence that LSU of the contrary.
You did the attacking first on a GREAT program.

"Denial" about what? You are the strangest person I ever met. You don't see me coming going from program to program, especially the ones that have WON.

My only point is the rational that college football programs go through up and down cycles. The last two years is just the start for LSU. Obviously LSU has the resources be be what they were from 2003-07 once again. However, I think it's pretty obvious Les Miles won't return it there.
Never once said programs or life is not cycle, actually I have said exactly that. Slow down and read and don't be so frustrated in your life.
