'11 MI WR DeAnthony Arnett - UT Commit

That's interesting...wouldn't have expected that. Usually all it takes is one or two good athletes to make a HS team competitive...

I finally got the chance to watch his press conference and I just can't get over how cool, calm, and collected this kid is.

Seems to have really quick feet. Gets in and out of breaks well. Wouldn't get too excited over that film though. One on ones are meant for the QB and WR... not the DB. and i don't believe there are many routes with 3-5 cuts in the first 5 yards.. Looks to have a lot of potential though.

Arnett will be very effective with a double move and a solid pump fake from Bray. I just can't get over how good our WR corp is going to be. I mean honestly who do you put your best corner on? Do you man up your best cb on Hunter and have over the top help with Rogers leaving Arnett or whomever our other slot is in a single man coverage? Or do you just run a zone and let Poole run you out of it. The future looks very bright for us!

commitment? I have heard they are friends here in Michigan and that they wanted to play together. With Hayes selecting UM, it is probably mitigated as DA came down to MS and us.

Not at all.... CCB is the reason we have Arnett, he isn't going anywhere.

No. Charlie Baggett is here. Besides, if it did affect anyone's commitment, it could only make DeAnthony's pledge stronger because there is still a possibility, however slim, that they could play together. Until that happens, DeAnthony is a Volunteer and Justice is a Wolverine.

Is Notre Dame in Tennessee? Didn't think so. Why would Hayes' new decision affect Arnett?

I asked because DA had been texting JH to join him on the Hill since he committed. JH has had misgivings about Notre Dame for a while and with Tennessee having been one of his finalists plus DA committing and working him, it became a possibility that JH decided that UT would be the best for him as well.

Since it appears that CDD did not return the interest, I wondered if DA would start to re-think his commitment based on a perceived slight of his friend.

Does that answer your question as to why?

I'm staying cautiously optimistic about Arnett and the level of his commitment.

Charlie Baggett is going to add Arnett as another WR great to his resume. Seriously, Arnett is going to shine under Baggett. Absolutely shine.
