status decision may be coming in the next couple days... shock the world.

Some one asked if he was going to south beach.

He said no that he had a few more offers

That may s show that he has a offer since he was hear this week. I wouldn't call him a vol lock, at least until we find out it he dose. I know he has talked to martin about wanting to get a offer. If he did he will prob commit soon. We have to know if he got the offer.

hmm.. i dont know if this is good or bad...

If it's UT, it is bad. Just because the kid wants to play for UT does not mean that we offer him. Heck I want to play for UT too! Can I have an offer? Look at his offer list. It says it all. Enough with these diamond in the rough type of players! We signed enough last year (Crump, Sapp, Propst, Jackson, etc.).

why are posters down on rexroad? he's a kid who's busted his butt trying to earn an offer, and we have no idea if he did or not at this point. if he did, that means our coaches have spent a lot of time evaluating him and they believe he can be a great vol.

if you like other players more and want to argue for those kids, cool, but don't argue against a kid who has been working hard to earn a tennessee offer. he'll get that offer, or not, based on his workouts in person with the coaches.

incidentally, i saw some of rexroad's first camp workout, and the kid is really athletic and mobile. he's put on a lot of weight in the past year, so you can pretty much discount early evaluations that faulted him for being too skinny or small.

I hope my posts didn't come across as bashing him, i think he's solid, but i just feel we can get better skilled players. Sorry if you considered me 2 bash because it wasn't supposed 2 come across as that.

why would we want this kid if we are in good standing with other guys at the same position who are better? i am not saying i dont want him, i am just saying that if we take a commitment from him it shows that we arent in as good of standing with other recruits as we might have originally thought.

From here on out I will resign my opinions. If a kid wants a UT offer they should get one. Case closed. But... When we continue to get beaten by our rivals, the same people on this site who think these players "deserve" an offer simply because they actually want to be a Vol are going to be the ones wondering why Tennessee cannot compete with the Big Boys. Personnel means everything when it comes to consistently winning, especially in the SEC. But hey.. Offers do not matter. Stars do not matter. Right? HaHa! It sucks not being in on alot of good players, but at least be honest about the situation. Stars and offers BOTH matter. Do not fool yourself into believing otherwise. It's just too bad Tennessee is not in on alot of players that have alot of them thus far.

Double facepalm.

If Rexroad received an offer, you think it's just because he wanted one, not because he performed well at camp? Wow.

I understand your point about stars, but why come on here and say that any kid without 4 or 5 stars must not be a "good player"? That's ridiculous.

You're entitled to your opinions, of course, but don't expect your opinions to go unchallenged. All opinions -- yours, mine -- are subject to challenge.

Incidentally, how have you evaluated Rexroad thus far? Have you, for example, watched film or seen workouts or what?

All I care about is whether he works out outside or in the air conditioning
