i really belive LeMay ends up in orange , i think we are gona end up with maybe rettig and yes legaux this year, but our money is gona be on chris lemay playing as a fresh.

Hahahaha! You're out of your mind. How are we going to end up with a QB we are not even recruiting? Didn't you get the memo? We have stopped pursuing Munchie.

If we ended up with only Rettig and Legaux at QB we are going to be in some serious trouble for the next several years because neither of those guys will be ready to lead a team at this level for at least 3 years. Legaux would never in this offense.

heres a memo to you, quit saying WE as if you are a part of the staff, also please note i put 0 stock in anything you have to say. your time would be better spent responding to someone who cares what you have to say other than mine, as far as im concernd he still has an offer, per scout, rivals, and espn, ill take their words over yours. though i do belive now hes probley liking WV or UM better from what i hear. and heres something you can take to the bank there is not a kid in this class includeing heaps that is ready to lead this team as a freshman, no one from the 2010 class will start at QB untill they are atleast a soph or RS/so. im tired of pointing out the obivouis to you.

Hate him all you want, he's right though. Munchie sucked it up at camp and from all reports the staff have stopped recruiting him. He still has an "offer", but I'm willing to bet the farm that it's not a committable offer. Munchie will not be a Vol. End of story.

Sometimes you're not going to like what other posters comments that disagree with yours but to think that Legaux is going to a Vol is pretty far out their. It's not going to happen!

talking about legaux will always summon sabanocchio

This is true. I beat everyone off except for this guy. He's the only one still convinced for some reason that we are still recruiting Legaux. Funny thing is, we never really did.

Sorry, but Sab is right about Munchie. This kid does not fit into our system period. He would be good in a spread style offense, and that is about it. If he is liking WV better than UT, that is smart on his part. Their system fits him much better than UT's. Although, I don't think the kid can beat out Brunetti if he goes there.

Munchie isn't even good enough for Baylor now.

Baylor decided not to offer him after the camp and they may move in another direction.

cPanel®

That's pretty bad. They run the spread too.

Also that Michigan offer is no good. They went in another direction with two other guys, Oregon, who he named a leader, subsequently went out and took a commitment from a 3* guy, and West Virginia has Brunetti.

yeah, i didn't understand what you were you saying. as in, you've convinced everyone, except for orangefaninva, that legaux's (sp?) relationship with tennessee has ended?

my neighbor who has followed football in SC since early 70's says this guy is the real deal. The best QB he has ever seen play the game in HS. I will go see him this year. Just heard about him recently and since I live here why not.

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure I talked to him at a Bojangles this morning on my way home from the beach. They were calling him E or Golson, so I never heard Everett and don't know if theres anybody else with a name like that on the team, but he gave me a Go Vols after he saw my hat.

Yeah... Chase Daniels sucked. Kellen Moore sucks. Drew Brees sucks in the NFL.

Heisman candidate. Top 5 in passer effieciency as a freshman. NFL MVP runner up.

Bunch of garbage.

i like this kid more and more every day, hope he will be about 6'1 by the time hes in college and atleast 175-180 lbs though, the durability of his frame to play in the sec (has nothing to do with his height ast long as hes 5'11 or better IMO)

but on a side note, this just goes along with my hatred of all things frank beamer and Va tech. Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer watched Golson, then an eighth grader, throw for an hour and a half during spring practice. He told Earley that Golson is better at this point in his career than Michael Vick, the only freshman to ever receive a scholarship offer from the Hokies.
"He told me 'we will be back next year, to get him'" Earley said

just goes along with a storry i have about the opertunity to walk on and be apart of virginia techs scout team, and no im not bitter because i was told NO quite the oppisite, my good friend and starting tight end up there for 2 years browning Wynn had reccomended me for the fact i wanted to get into coaching that i knew the game pretty well and had a good enough arm to make a decent scout QB, but ididnt have any delouisns that i would be a "rudy" no matter where i went LOL. i had spent time up there with browning and some other guys went up there and went to a couple camps when i was in hs, and got to know a few people around the program, veaguely (but i never had enough intrest to even go to a home game). but i was thinking about folliowing friends up there for school, but at this time i was thinking about not trying to contenue playing football, already had 2 good concusions and starting to get some shoulder problems. and had considerd giving up playing anything. but i finay changed my mind and wanted to go somewhere i would atleast be part of the team more so than just the scout team. and i got another letter from a GA asking me where i was wanthing to go (which i thought was unprofessonal) and i told them as much, and i finaly got the call from another member of the staff and found out the real reason cause a friend of mine that played LB/FB out our biggest rival powell valley (where the jones brothers played) who i had ben at carson newmans camps and ETSU And E&H pretty much decided he was follwing me after i decided i was gona keep playing, which i tried to talk him out of he had potental that he could have earnd a scholly at tech ( i wont name drop here) but somehow the staff memeber knew we had told emory that we would be going there and planing to walk on, and he had the nerve to tell me that i couldnt make their team (which i did) but supposidly i was good enough to be on there scout team ???? ( yeah they are a big national powerhouse, right LMAO ). i mean i dont even know for sure if theese GA's were working on any of the coaching staffs behalf, but they sure displayed the same attitude that beamer does in that article excerpt. but browning said later going there was the biggest mistake he ever made, he said he wishes he would have took his UK or UVA offer

browning aso told me this guy is the king of negitave recruting, but it was where all his family had went. but that he had put down kentuckys coach (who browning had really liked alot) so bad it wasent funny im not gona repeate the things he told me was said about him. and had even mentiond the thomas jones situation to him and slamed him for not walking on there over a full ride from UVA! beamer does have an underrated staff fundamentaly, i really admire bud foster. he will be a great HC one day soon.

But as far as im concernd though BEAMER and anyone of the tick turds i delt with that still may be there (this was circa 99) worthless human like beings who have delousions of grandure but will never be nothing but a big fish in a verry small pond, and i hate to tell him if golson gets some size on him hes way better than the type of QB's that are better suited for running backs and couldnt throw a beach ball in an ocean and way to good for most schools in the alantic cupcake confrence. would be better off going with al ghroes staff , i think they will make a good QB out of verica.

I think I have a couple of concussions just from trying to read this. WOW...............................................

north carolina is about to pickup a big early commitment for the class of 2011.

Expect quarterback everett golson (myrtle beach, s.c./myrtle beach) to fulfill a lifelong dream and commit to the tar heels later today at an 11 a.m. Press conference at his high school.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder has been a starter for the seahawks since his freshman year in high school. He has led his school to state championships in football and basketball during his high school career.

Golson has thrown for 126 touchdowns in his career, a south carolina state record. He threw for 3,558 yards and 47 touchdowns during his junior year. He also rushed for 200 yards and five touchdowns.

North carolina signed defensive lineman brandon willis (duncan, s.c./james f. Byrnes) out of the palmetto state in the class of 2010. Standout defender robert quinn (north charleston, s.c./fort dorchester) was another big pickup for butch davis and company in the class of 2008.

ESPNU 150 Watch List QB Everett Golson picks North Carolina

Junior signal-caller Everett Golson (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) committed to sign as part of North Carolina's Class of 2011 on Friday. South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Duke were among his other written scholarship offers.

"It was always my dream to be a North Carolina Tar Heel," Golson told the Sun News. "Right now I feel like I can seize the opportunity to do that."

He has thrown for 9,872 yards and 126 touchdowns entering his senior season. As a junior, Golson completed 63-percent of his attempts for 3,558 yards, 47 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

Golson, a point guard on Myrtle Beach's basketball team, was been promised an opportunity to try out for North Carolina's basketball team.
