He is from Harriman, Tennesseeand is a 6-5, 260 pound lineman. He is on Tennessee's radar and will be evaluated as the year goes along.

Chaney watched him today. The fact that we’re even evaluating this kid is extremely disappointing IMO. Not even a mid-level prospect.

Our coaches are going to watch a lot of kids that have no chance of getting an offer. It's about building relationships with the coaches and looking for possible underclassmen. Plus the recruit could have made huge strides between the end of last season and the beginning of spring practice.

If this is true I have no problem with it. If a coach of a good instate program asks us to evaluate a guy, no need to burn bridges. That said IDK that we can afford to waste time on every mid level prospect.

So you are saying you are a scout and have scouted this kid? I mean in your professional opinion you're saying this kid isn't good enough? I feel lucky to be on boards where so many posters have such great scouting credentials......wait...no they don't:crazy:

I’ve seen the kid play in person twice and it’s enough to know he is nowhere near SEC level talent. His offer list speaks for itself. It’s not like the kid’s a borderline SEC player, he is nowhere good enough to play at this level, feel free to bump this thread in a few years when the kid is 4th on the depth chart at a D3 school.

coaches will visit a lot of schools that have mid level prospects. Kiffin and Co. did it last year.

I'll be able to check this guy out this year, I don't think he's that good because no one here is talking about him, and if anyone is good in Roane County, we hear about it forever.

Take a look at his offer list, no other proof is necessary.

Were you one of the ones mocking Clawson's offer to Schofield when his only other offers were Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb?

He went on to absolutely blow up during summer camps and become someone that everyone wanted. Kiffin said he was the best OL they looked at out of all of them after taking over.

Considering I’d never seen Schofield play at the time I didn’t say anything. I have seen Shaq Love play and he is nothing special. As I said, I’ll bump this in a few years when he is tearing it up for Montana St.

I don't know him and have never seen him. I have seen your posts and they hardly scream "credible".

But my point was about offer lists as they stand in May before NSD. There will be kids who grow into themselves and burst onto the scene. There will be guys like Schofield who have been hidden because they play on terrible teams.

You can't just say "look at his offer list, there's nothing more to say" about a recruit right now.

Not a comment on this particular kid, just generally you can't say that this early.

How many FBS offers did Pair and/or Schofield have before UT offered? Its May. Give the kid some time to develop and get another season under his belt. May be one of those developmental/projects we take late in January/February...
