The super sophomore who led West Tennessee's Mitchell High School to The 3A State Championship wants to be a VOL. He said if Coach Kiffin offers him a scholarship, Tennessee is a lock. He said that he doesn't want to take any visits anywhere else ! I hope we get him, also you can google him.

Artaves Gibson, 6-foot-1 220 lbs, finished with over 1,700 yards on the ground and 23 TD's.

Tennessee- "It's the home school. I could rep the home state."
Georgia- "I liked the way they used Moreno. I like their aggression and it's not really too far away."
Alabama- "They are known for having great players. My teammate committed there (2010 Keiwone Malone), that makes it better for me."

I was at The track meet Tuesday and he was there. I pulled him to the side and he had a Tennessee Vols id holder around his neck. I asked him is this some sort of statement, he gave a huge smile and said, and I quote
"If Coach Kiffin ever offers me, I am signing immediately ". He is all Vol, if we pursue him. He is strong, big, fast, and powerful. Anyone at Knoxville Catholic High will tell you the same, because he abused their entire defense running the ball in the TSSAA 3A State Championship.

Well Scout has him ranked at the # 4 or # 5 back in his graduating class. I think he is projected as the #1 back in the State of Tennessee next season. Mitchell High School has so much talent, they also have Keiwone Malone, who caught 13 balls for 387 yds in a playoff game. They have two twins that remind you of Maurice Jones Drew/Reggie Bush/ Dante Hall. that can flat out scat, it's alot of talent on that team. As far as stars go I imagine that Artaves will be a 5 star by his senior year, if he can keep the grades and stay healthy.

He was used at LB a little but he is primarily a rb . He resembles Eddie George at Ohio State. He is a man child and is only 16 years old with alot more growing to go. Nick Saban visits Mitchell religiously. We need to get Coach O or someone else down here, asap !

Maybe about 3 months ago they had him listed at the #4 or #5 rb in the class of 2011. If i can find the link, I will surely post it, I really don't want you to take my word for it, because Gibson is a beast !

noone for UT is pursuing him aggresively . However, Nick Saban is on his trail like flies on crap. Let's not lose Artaves to Alabama. He can be used as a safety as well.

The lighting in the video is terrible but you still can see him run.

He will be one of the Top 3-5 prospects in the state next year. Where have you been told Tennessee isn't pursuing him hard? They are very interested in him.

He likes Tennessee alot. When someone likes you that is of quality, why wait and let the enemy have a chance, it would be best to go head and lock him up on a verbal.
