I can't BELIEVE blur is STILL posting this garbage on here.

Look man, we all know you have some bias here. This guy will end up at MTSU or UTC if he's lucky (and grows 3+ inches). You lost all credibility on here months ago when you started spouting crap on here touting this guy as a Top 50 player nationally. That's ridiculous! He's not even a Top 3 guy in the Knoxville area in his own class!

Get off this guy's jock and try to write something on here worth reading and relevant to Tennessee football, not about lower-level D1 prospects (potentially)...

he is already listed on some early 2011 watchlist as a top 50 player

he was a soph all american.....

whose looking at you? I bet Devrin's list of schools looking at him is longer than yours...:)...and its full of D-1 schools....

At running back, Devrin Young out of Knoxville (Tenn.) Bearden didn't let his limited size at 5-7 impact his effectiveness. Young is a rocket with the ball in his hands and for a small player made a heck of an impact in the passing game. Only a rising junior, Young was one of the most exciting players in attendance.

Barton Simmons on Devrin:

I had seen just a little film on him before seeing him at camp this weekend. After seeing him in camp, I was very impressed. The kid has ridiculous acceleration and change of direction and he catches the ball really well out of the backfield. His size will limit him but depending on his development, I'm a believer in him as an impact player.

watching those videos i'm sure that we can find a place for him...and he's going to be a junior next year, he will grow. nuke's not exactly a big guy either.

That's what I'm thinking. He could grow a couple of inches more -- we see it all the time with these prospects. Cam Clemmons shot up during his Jr. year. I hope he does because I like the kid. He can ball and he seems like a good kid in his interviews. Consider me on his bandwagon.

"A small athlete in Devrin Young also made some noise in Knoxville. He is a junior out of Bearden High School right there in Knoxville and he showed some extremely quick feet throughout the day. He is a running back and wide receiver that ran away from most that tried to stay with him during the camp. He can cut very quickly, he has great straight-line speed, and he made some nice catches at receiver for a guy that is known more for running the ball.

Young is a 5-foot-6, 157 pound athlete and he is one to watch. Small he is, but very quick, very shifty, and he made some nice plays at Tennessee." <TABLE style="BORDER-RIGHT: #000 0px solid; BORDER-TOP: #000 0px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #000 0px solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: #000 0px solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #b2b2b2" align=right border=0><TBODY><TR><TD><TABLE width=150><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle>

its closed. They are wearing helmets and shoulder pads at this camp.. I will be dropping him off and picking him up. Devrin and his mom are coming out here next week.

Get in that boy's ear. Once he gets an offer from UT we can't lose him.:eek:k:

Do you think he will be a Vol?

I think the Vols would have the best shot at him.....very easy for his mom to come and see him at Neyland. Still, I think whoever is the 1st school to offer, will play a strong role in his decision....

I know he likes Tennessee, Colorado, UNC, UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon

yes Max Preps...he's the real deal....

Real deal meaning what in this instance? I agree he's good, but at 5'7" I wouldn't exactly call him the real deal at the college level. He's got some growing to do before he can expect any big offers IMO.
