One week from today this team has a chance to erase all the negative that came from the Xavier loss and more importantly the utep loss.

A win next weekend would be HUGE to answer these early season questions.

We are clearly playing really well with 5 of the last 6 halfs of basketball being great.

Big Game to get excited about!!


How do we match up at WSU??

What kind of game should we expect??

Go get em VOLS!!!!

Don't be shocked if the Shockers put a hurting on UT. They are tough at home. Rowdy crowd. They better come out fighting. Can't get down early. I'm excited for this game.

Depends on which of our teams show up. I'd have more confidence if we haven't been so flat on the road. We have to come out strong and play a full 40 minutes. Oh and hit free throws!

Unfortunately, I have zero confidence that Cuonzo will have our team ready to go on the road and win against a good team. I hope he proves me wrong.

Gotta go 4-1 over the final 5 OOC games. Have to beat one of Virginia/Wichita State, obviously WSU would look better, but losing to Virginia would be worse.

Obviously 5-0 would be best, but go 4-1, finish 11-3 OOC and we are in a good spot.

I think we can look forward to a "tail tucked between our legs" loss. We need to see more fire and aggression.

They're not a real big team, if we play our style and pound it inside I think we can get them in foul trouble and win. Start trying to run with their guys and I think we may be in trouble.

Come out ready to play 40 minutes and I have no doubt in my mind we can win this game. We haven't played our best game yet, which I suppose could be a good thing.

I didn't get to see the wake forest game but I assumed we played at a very high level. You don't think we played at our best that day??

No. It was a very well played game, but I'd say 8/10, maybe 9/10. Our defense still had some lapses, we allowed them to shoot too good of a % both from the field and 3. We play defense like Martin wants and we win that game by 30 points.

I feel we can play better.

He knows Wichita well. He will have them ready.

We really need the WSU game to erase the bad losses to Xavier and UTEP. This team needs some OOC "resume" wins or it could be another disappointing March. While I think we'll get in the tourney, if we don't have a couple quality OOC wins, our seed could be in the 6-8 range.

5-1 and we're in a good spot, 6-0 and the optimism for a very good seed starts to build.

It seems that this team plays a lot better when we don't have a lot of layover between games. In the Battle for Atlantis, we played bad against UTEP (1st game after several days off), then played really well the next 2 games which were short turnarounds. We played poorly the first half today after about a week off, but turned it on in the 2nd half. I hope they are ready as soon as they tip off against WSU after having a week off.
