I'm not one to have unrealistic expectations, I try to stay in tune with reality.

With that being said I feel that we should handle Witchita St.

I feel that we have the edge on them in basically every aspect of the game. This is simply going to come down to preparation and most importantly coaching.

Thoughts?

If Stokes keeps playing at level he is right now we should be able to play with most!!! Think J Mac still has not hit his stride yet, and young ones are getting better and better!! Should be good game.

My thought is that you have no idea what you're talking about. WSU is a damn good team and it will be a challenge to beat them on their court. We do not have an advantage in every phase if the game, however we have the size advantage down low.

So if we win it'll be because we are a better team, but if we lose it's all on the coaching?

Wow. I'm shocked.

I'm still pissed about us losing to Wichita in '06 while Bruce was here. We were the 2 seed and I was at that game. I've hated them ever since.

Hard to believe they went to the Final Four and we beat them last year

I have the Shockers -12. At home, they're nearly unbeatable. It's going to take a monumental effort to walk into Charles Koch Arena and leave with a win.

We beat them last year and know the type of game they like to play, but like you said they're tough at home. Should be a fun game.

"Handle" is a strong word when referring to beating them. I think we win as well but "handle" isn't a term I'd use. We don't edge them in every category either. Not ragging on you but choice of words made it seem like we should beat them by 10+

I just think we have the edge overall when you compare and contrast teams.

Handle the #11 team in the country? On the road? And we have the edge in every aspect of the game? And the kicker is....it all comes down to coaching.... Ok.

Ummmm. Wichita State is the best college basketball team in their entire state. Wichita is in Kansas. Y'all might want to temper any expectations a little. Most top 25 teams should expect to lose convincingly there.

So don't be confident that the team you CHEER for can win? Gotcha. Let's just give up on the season. Oh wait most already have.

Won't be as big a win if they get beat by Oral Roberts. Losing at the half right now. They will drop like a rock in the rankings next week since they have not played anyone yet. They may still be between 20-25, but still not the "big" win that it could be.

Edit: Never mind. WS is blowing OR out in the second half.

You do realize they bring most of their team back from last year? The key will be the first 7 or 8 minutes of the game. The Vols get off to a slow start, then its going to be very difficult coming back against a very good team on the road.
