lol..........Maggitt first offer was UF. He got verbal after 10 grade then got his written offer the day after NSD 2010. Matt Elam dropped it off in his locker.

i like your style HG, I think this speaks volumes for Dooley. To pull Maggitt after reading that is pretty amazing

100%....most people didn't give DD and LT credit for what they did with the Fl kids....UT has some good vibes going in the PB, Gainesville and Broward counties....getting in Tampa and Orlando is the next step for the staff. I give Dooley props on what he has done on the trail and on the field....Meyer did great things at UF but Zook left "groceries" in the frig for him to work with...Kiffin and PF didn't leave much but I give credit where its due.

I'd be surprised if he didn't go to Penn St.

I'd be surprised if he did go there. Kid also said that he grew up a huge Miami fan as well. His parents are Gators and want him to go to UF. Wouldn't put too much stock into who he said he grew up 'rooting' for.

Doubt seriously Wisky/PSU steals a Fl. kid that the big 3 schools actually want. ND and OSU are a different story.

Lasy year Wisky was gonna steal O'Leary and Brissett and look how that turned out.

Dooley could do numbers w/ this kid in our offense. Wish he gave us a harder look.

Oh, that's right FL did offer first. :p Jeez, HG, I know you're still sore 'bout my pre-NSD (CMC) comments, but can't I guy have a little fun? :neener2:

I could post links but I will respect the board and the fact that he's a Vol...getting Maggitt and the Gainesville duo were big recruiting wins for Dooley. :salute:

IMO JW is future All SEC....kid was one of the first kids that got a post Meyer offer so that says something about his talent. From the film and live game I believe that Saulsberry will be solid but too much of a tweener...UT will get some good reps but not enough of a DT or DE to be a starter.

I know Kent Taylor very well. I grew up with him. We went to school together for almost 10 years.

He's my neighbor, so I'm at his house all the time. Actually, his dad, a pastor at my church, baptized me. He's a tremendous kid and one of my best friends.

After talking to him a lot about this, it'll probably be Miami or Florida. He wants to go to Miami, his parents want him to go to Florida.

In the end, though, they'll make the decision that's best for him.

Tell him that we can double whatever money Florida is offering.

UF is really high on the Taylor.....maybe the Top TE on the board or 2nd behind the kid from PA. This spring will tell more about Fl depth at TE...Reed(could tansfer), Parks(injury), Gerald Christian(rumor to be moving to DE/LB) so that could only leave Mcfarland and AC Lenoard at TE heading into the fall.

Must be good to have that problem. You all will have more talent at TE than us even if half of y'alls current TEs transfer or are injured. We have a senior that hasn't proven anything in the year he has been here and two true freshmen. Will be a rough year at the TE position for UT IMO.

I guess....we could have a true Fr and RS Fr in the two deep if those things happen.

Rivera is a Junior.

Well that's a somewhat more optimistic view I suppose. I'm still not very high on his abilities at all. Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

That he'll be a Junior? I wouldn't call it optimistic, more like a fact :)

I think he might surprise you flowd, but I have my concerns about his blocking ability. We shall see.

Lol yeah that is a fact. But I meant it like I can be a little more optimistic about his ability since he will have two more years to play, oppossed to one.

I hope you are right VOTP. Our offense is really going to need a surprise or there might not be quite as smooth of a transition from last year as some think. Bray will only have two above average targets at best next year IMO. And that is IF Da'Rick can pull it all together this offseason (which I fully expect him to do). Hunter is a star in the making and Da'Rick will be a great WR here IMO. But we have no experience at the 3rd WR spot and like I already mentioned, unless I am in for a huge surprise, I don't see much production at all from the TE position.

As the season progresses I can see Z.Rogers and Arnett/Dallas filling in to be a serviceable option at the 3rd spot. And who knows maybe Rivera or Clear can produce at TE. But at this point I don't see us having a crazy air attack with no proven 3rd down go-to-guy/possession WR or a proven TE. DMo, Gerald Jones, and Stocker with their experience and production will not be easily replaced. Hunter and Rogers have more potential and talent than DMo and GJ, but the question is when will the potential turn into production on Saturdays? Sorry for the long post, but I am not comfortable (not that it matters at all) yet with our offensive passing attack. Bray will be better and more experienced and confident. The OLine should be a better unit with pass protection. Now we just need the young WRs to step up. It's their time. Looking forward to questions getting answered during Spring Practice.

I would agree with everything you said. I think spring will answer a lot of questions about who the go to guys will be. If Da'Rick doesn't work hard this spring then Z. Rogers will be happy to fill in as the number two receiver.

Blarg. We lost the parents. The Reptiles are going to lie, cheat, and steal their way to earning his services.

lol....NEVER have to do that with instate kids...most are Gators or Noles...then a few Canes. Wayne Lyons decided on Standford instead of UF even with ALL his ties to the school.

we all know that Dade kids are Canes but outside of that most are UF and FSU fans. I don't mind Golden putting a fence around Dade bc I like the talent in Broward/PBC which has always been good to UF.
