PSA: better locked down Dade first....getting sacked like ROME! lol That's the great thing abou the state...areas where you think a team would have the upper hand is not always the case...FC should belong to UF but its FSU and Clemson..panhandle should favor FSU but Bama and Aubbie have started to take control...Tampa/Orlando is good to everyone...UT,Bama,FSU,Fl and pups.

TE KENT TAYLOR, 6-5/220, LAND O'LAKES (FLA.), TEAM TAMPA
Taylor highlights
Offers: Alabama, Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, N.C. State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, UCF

Observations: Taylor is a tall, slender tight end with a wide frame to add a considerable amount of weight. He turned in two strong days with Team Tampa, a squad he had limited practice time with prior to the event. He was very effective on routes up the sidelines where he had to elevate to make the catch. He is quicker than he is fast running routes, but he does a good job getting his motor running off the snap and getting down the field. He has huge hands and does a great job of securing passes on their way, instead of allowing them to catch him. He should develop into a very well-balanced blocking and receiving tight end as he continues to add weight.

his recruitment is going to be fun to watch...parents want him at UF, he likes the history of Canes/TEs and now his blowing up on the national level. FUN times!

"I am going to Florida this Saturday, then Notre Dame on April 1 and 2 and then we are going up to Penn State in the third week of April for a visit," he said. "I would like to visit Georgia Tech as well during that time period."

After being able to visit Florida a couple of times, Taylor says that he does have a lot of interest in Florida.

"Florida is definitely one of my top schools. They have a lot to offer because they're in state, and they're a good school to get a good education."

Was at UF this past weekend.

With all the offers coming so early, Taylor says he’s focusing on ten schools for now. In no order they are:
“Penn State, Florida State, Miami, Florida, Notre Dame, Alabama, UNC, LSU, Tennessee and Georgia”

he likes Miami but IMO his parents are going to make sure that happens...I can see him landing at UF or FSU atp. Could surprise everyone and leave the state...said distance won't play a factor.

Really loved his visit to PSU. Was at their Blue-White Game on Saturday. He brought his family with him on the visit. He has family that lives in the area and he stayed with his brother who lives in the Pennsylvania area. Said the highlight of his visit was meeting Joe Paterno. Will be making a return trip to PSU for their home game against Alabama on September 10th.

"The stadium was pretty awesome, it was really big," Taylor said. "Obviously there wasn't that many people at the spring game because of the weather, but it was really good. I got to meet coach Paterno, which was probably the highlight. Just watching film of Andrew Quarless and other tight ends that was a highlight as well. There were a lot of highlights during the trip, I had good time, that's just some of them."

UF is backing off some...nothing to do with his talent but with AC and Reed, the staff is looking to bring in bigger TEs. Colin Thompson,Christo K and Laith Harlow have replace Taylor and Sean Price as top targets.

Christo K is roughly the same size as Jordan Reed. Laith Harlow is probably 1-2 inches taller but Jordan Reed is somewhere in the neighborhood of 6'4 240-245

Named a Top-5 of UF, FSU, UM, PSU, and ND. It's a shame that we didn't make Taylor's top-5 because he is an extremely talented TE. A real receiving threat at the TE position. Everyone should watch his highlights if you haven't already. UT still might be able to sneak in a official visit.

"I'm narrowing it down to five schools tentatively right now," Taylor said. "They are in no specific order, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Penn State, and Notre Dame."
"It is just because I don't want to act like I am playing a game, I want to let these schools know that I am very interested," Taylor said. "Obviously other schools could come in and my top five could change, but this is just tentative for right now. Those are just the five schools that I am extremely interested in right now. After spring, if other schools had come along and really made an impact on me, things could change but as of right now these are my five schools."
