Word on the street is NCSU's QB is going to have a tough time getting Hegedus the ball when he's lying on his back all game.
That will be the key. Mike Glennon is a very good pro style drop back QB...a bit like our Bray. Pressuring him out of the pocket will be the key to a win over NC State. NC State has 6 returning offensive linemen with starting experience, so accomplishing that won't be a cake walk. Our pass rush will have to be much improved over last year to shut them down.
The relevance is in understanding how a white guy ends up with a nickname of "White Lightening". Speed and jumping ability run in his blood line. His father was a very fast DB at Boston College, his sister set HS records on the track team and his cousin won silver. Look for the kid to get better as he matures.
Word on the street is Heg is now 6-2 1/2, 210lb, benching over 300lb, and the second fastest guy on NC State's team. If a corner back is going to handle him, it better be a very tall, very fast, very strong one. He will do his own talking to UT in a couple of weeks, and I'll be there to watch with great interest.
Every white receiver gets the nickname "white lightning" or "moon shine" lol c'mon man. Such as Zach Roger--white lightning and Mark Mariani--moon shine. If you're white and fast at all you get those super original nicknames.
Good luck to your boy tho, I did like him coming out of HS but I think he ended up at a better place for him. Btw where is he on the depth chart now? Will he start against UT? JW
We're going to bust his ass. He's a freshman that's not better than Hunter, Rogers, or CP. Our DBs practice against much much better WRs everyday. We've got maybe 5-6 WRs better than this kid. Greg Phillips can say we're hating all he wants but we're going to bust his boy's ass and anybody else that lines up at WR for NC State. There's a reason we didn't offer this kid. He'll see why, because we're WR U we don't take receivers of his caliber. Okay I'm done with my ranting and ready for Aug.31 to get here so we can bust Hegedus and NC State's ass.

Didn't they give up over 20 sacks last year? Plus they weren't very good at running the ball either. Going to be a long day for them if they can't protect their QB or run the ball. And with their weak front 7 on D they won't be able to stop the run. Hard to win games if you can't run or stop the run.
