No I don't think so. Smith was recruiting both of them all the way up to NSD I believe.

I remember both having comments about playing for him in numerous interviews. If they knew I can't believe they kept it a secret. If SBV said they were told would that change your opinion? He did say that but I can't see any way that's the case.
