Do you all believe Hubbs on this one? Hope he's right. CP was killin it at that middle school game in the video.. His QB almost got it to the endzone from the 25 yd line. Sick. Kidding. CP would be an impact guy immediately.

Would he come in and be our top receiver? Or still have a lot of work to do?

God I'm bored at work

I've been told he's a silent and I don't have 1% of the sources Hubbs does.

The general consensus is that he would vault near the top of the depth chart. Considering our core talent already at WR, it is impressive.

If everyone says he will beast out, I'll be very concerned. If he is supposed to be so-so, then we might have a Heisman contender.

Every JUCO is hyped as a starter day one it seems. We have three that most thought would start, none of them will be opening day.

I remember you told me not to pencil in B Moore as a starter, and I said I won't, I used a pen. I'm still wiping the egg off mah face.

It's understandable to be gun shy when it comes to JUCOs. I was deeply disappointed with the Kenny O'Neal fiasco.

That being said, Patterson looks freakish, despite being a man among boys.

I'm one of those. Definitely thought Couch and Moore would start. Hopefully both can get get things straight and contribute soon. Although Couch played ok our first game. Think he just needs to get in shape more than anything.

I used to be that way but have learned to temper expectations for new players regardless of what the hype is. It is a totally different speed and level of play than they've ever seen before. It is the exception when someone comes in and starts over a quality returning player. There's too much to learn and adjust to.

I did not expect Lane to start. I do expect him to contribute this year and have a great career at UT.

Many were sure that Jackson, Richardson, or even Crowder would start. They all have bright futures but could not pass guys with college level exp and 1+ years of development.

Unless your roster is just horrible... like UT's were last year... it isn't realistic to expect most new comers to beat out returning players.

Most people just have no clue how difficult that transition is to major DI football. It happens but there are very few players who have the physical AND mental makeup to do it.
