He hasn't even taken his OV here yet, what do you expect? Its only natural for a recruit to be at least somewhat high on a school right after they have taken their OV there. Auburn might have the edge right now or they might not, but what I do know is that it will all change after he visits Tennessee. As long as he follows through with the visit, then we're golden.

Who's gonna stop us when we have Patterson, Hunter, Rogers, and Arnett lined up 4 wide? NOT ONE D**N TEAM!

Exactly right -- next question, who is going to be able to double team any of those receivers?? No one.

Patterson is not going to Auburn.

I posted a while back why Patterson would not be going to Auburn -- he would be an idiot to go there, and anyone advising him to go there would be idiots also. He wants a quick path to the pros so he is looking for a lot of receptions and yards, and being "the man" at Auburn while being double teamed and with a less than great QB is not as good as being a in a three way tie at Tennessee with one of the best QB's in the nation. Not even close.

For the reasons I posted, the only possible competition Tennessee could have for Patterson (in the SEC) are UGA and Arky -- and they both fall far short of what Tennessee can offer.

For wide receivers, having other great receivers at the other WR spots is a good thing -- that way the opponents cannot afford to double cover anyone. The key is to have a QB who can read defenses, check down, and "sling the tater" with a high degree of accuracy. Tennessee meets both of those requirements in spades -- two other great WR's to prevent double coverage in Hunter and Rogers (and a very good TE in Rivera), and the best, most accurate QB in the SEC in Bray.

Georgia and Arkansas meet those requirements to some extent, hence they are the only other possible competition, but if you examine both you will find that they both are not as good in each of the two areas (other great receivers and quality of QB) as Tennessee. Those are the main reasons Patterson is far more likely to select Tennessee than anyone else. Auburn is not even in the ballpark.

Patterson, as I said before and as he himself has said is looking for the school that can get him into the draft with a high ranking the fastest. That is Tennessee.

Sooo, Patterson won't be going to Auburn because he would be an idiot to go there?

People make idiot decisions all of the time Bro Namath. Expecting people to not act like idiots is usually how people get disappointed.

Not to mention - as troubling as our run game has been - our O-line has done a fantastic job of protecting the QB in passing situations. We'll have TB for one (pray for two more years), but Worley and Peterman, IMO, will both be accurate slingers and pick up where Bray left off. Better yet - we should have a running game going by the time TB graduates. Lane, Smith, Young, Cross, Hill, Dooley, what a menagerie of speed, size and skills.

Every post is a paragraph of your "expert" analysis. Some of the most condescending material I have ever read. Your reasons are yours alone. You have no way of knowing what these kids are thinking or the personal connections they make at various schools.

As I've said before, you can stop publishing these signed novellas. You do not know what you're talking about.
