This is exactly why we aren't good right now. You obviously think otherwise. I'll leave it at that.

Hubbs just said he could be wrong about Patterson. Said P. Fort usually knows more than him and P. Fort said its is less than 50/50 that he would be an EE but there is a chance..

He said it was less than 50/50 that he would be & it's looking like a long shot. Don't know where you got he said he'd probably would be.

This might sound like a crazy question (probably because it is), but what would be the problem with a 5-receiver set on a few possessions throughout a game? I realize that leaves only 5 blockers and your quarterback (opening up the potential for a blitz and quick pass rush), but then again, there wouldn't be enough coverage in the backfield to handle such a set. If I'm just an idiot for thinking such, then fine, call me out, but with what receivers UT may have available next year, why wouldn't such a scheme work on the occassional down or two?

I don't like the 5 wide set because defenses don't even have to check to see if it is a run play. They can just pin their ears back and rusk the QB/drop back in coverage.

5 wide puts pressure on the Qb to read defenses and understand coverages. It is hard to cover when ran correctly. When incompetently ran, it can be a disaster since you have no backs to help in pass protection. If Bray can master the offense (and more importantly defenses) he has more than enough natural talent to win BIG here.

I wouldn't hurt to try and change things up some. If you have 3 or 4 stud receivers and some need double coverage, a blitz could be dangerous for the defense. The QB would need to know where a quick safety valve is, if needed.

Will Patterson get a fifth star? Pretty rare for Jucos. I think Cam Newton was the only one in 2010 and none in 2011.

Doesn't really matter, just come on and wear the Power T.

Doesn't matter because rivals doesn't even factor JUCOs into class rankings, IIRC.
