'12 MO DT Ondre Pipkins

Did you read the article about him on ESPN? Harbaugh was definitely trying to force him out by pulling a Saban...the ole sign the medical scholarship form to free up one of the 85 scholarships, although you really aren't injured. That's some cut-throat business there.

Cept he had a legit knee problem...Saban doesn't need real injuries. :)

Just need Sab to come back....

Unless he's graduate transfer eligible, he has to sit out.

Not if he's forced off the team for on field reasons. That lsu kid and almost dbg were examples where a kid doesn't have to sit if he can prove the team forced him out and he had no off field issues.

His scholarship isn't at risk tho...that's why DGB wasn't granted immediate eligibility. He had the option to stay after the charges were dismissed. Harbaugh didn't yank his scholarship, so he can't claim academic hardship.

Well that's what Harbaugh says, but I thought the kid was claiming he was told be had to leave and was going to lose his scholarship.

Reread the article...his scholarship was safe. The contention comes from the player claiming that the team doctors cleared his knee then retracted after Harbaugh pressured them.

I know it is probably just not clicking right away, but who is DGB?

Why do some people want a player that has less then 10 solo tackles is three years with a history of concussions, a tore ACL and arthritis in his knees? If Michigan doesn't think he's good enough or healthy enough to play for them after three years then why do we? Not trying to be mean and I hate it for Pipkins but I see no upside here for us. I think he knows he will end up at an FCS school and I hope he does well there. This should be a lesson to fans that get carried away. Pipkins was once considered a can't miss 5* prospect. As a recruit many Michigan fans didn't think he would even stay four years. Turns out they were right.

depth.Thats all. Thats the only reason ppl want to take him. We are an injury away from being in trouble. Picou is not here, not sure what you get from Saulsberry, Vickers is an unknown and then youre back to using freshman for way too many snaps. Thats all. Some dont understand that though. However he probably wont end up here. Mizzou wants him though.

He is probably worse than us switching Mosley back to DT if needed.
