We don't need a bigger back, we had one in T. Williams. We need a true every down back.

Excellent example IMO. If Alden Hill has a devastating injury and never fully recovers mentally/physically you will look like a prophet.

a good team needs both. there are plenty of rolls that need to be filled.

Sorry couldn't resist :)

Finished the night with 154 yards on just 10 carries, including TD runs of 59 and 63 yards in the 4th quarter.

the new Scout Ohio HS rankings have this kid at 47 overall and the 4th best RB in the state. Bill Greene said he made the highest jump of any other player. fwiw

No, I understand that. I mean what was he b4 (i.e. 30, 35, 40)

Found that in the thread. I hope that helps.
Edit: Whoops that's Scout rankings. Jmo said Rivals. I will look further.

Scout also has Corey Smith apart of our '12 class. Their rankings have been horrible this year. Really need to be updated.

After watching our backs this season I take back him being a fullback. I want a physical hard charging back. If he can be like Burkhead for Nebraska i'd be more than happy.

Agreed. As I said in the other forum, going from watching our backs to seeing Burkhead punish OSU in the 4th quarter of that game
is downright depressing.

I really didn't get it at first, i.e. Dooley recruiting one big back and then another. That type hasn't always done well for us, except on short yardage situations. Then I remember way back when Georgia had Hampton and Worley. Those long-legged rascals ran all over us. The combo was just hard to stop. Still, I hope Lane turns into a stud like some others in the SEC. We saw one playing against us last night. And we're going to see a few more before the season is out...like Lattimore and Ware and Richardson.

We also need to get a big arse full back like LSU to road grade for our RBs.

If anybody impressed me yesterday, it was Lane. Good hands, made people tackle him, not just get hit and go down and has some good speed. Along with "the twitch".
