We recently had an in-home with Mitchell. He is a top 80 national recruit, 4 stars, Center, in the 2012 class. This would be a nice pickup. Says it's a three team race and I know Clemson and UGA are two of those teams. I'm assuming we are the other team.

They are focusing on 5 stars Shaq Goodwin and Robert Carter. Mitchell's getting most of his attention from TN, FSU, MD, Iowa and OK State.

"It was really good, it was with both coach Martin and coach (Tracy) Webster, and they really let me know how much they needed me and how I'd fit in with their program, their style and how they play," Mitchell said of the home visit. "They talked about how it would be a good situation for me coming in because they really need players at my position."

"The main thing with Tennessee is just the staff, they're great people, coach Martin and I have great communication," Mitchell said of what most piques his interest in Tennessee. "Whenever I talk to him it's always the same, he's just a real honest guy and that comes across."

"I plan on signing in November right now. I know I'm going to visit Tennessee, after that I'm not sure, but I plan on taking a few more visits," Mitchell said. "I wouldn't say that have a leader right now, but they're up there. I have a lot of interest in them.

Good offer list.

You get him and Lucas, that's a good overally big man class. Next year your rotation with Miller, Hall, Mitchell, and Lucas for next year. And that doesn't even include Stokes if we can get him.

Rosburg's deciding in a few weeks too. We're in it for some really solid post players.

No, this can't be true, I keep reading on here that Coach Martin doesn't care about recruiting, and even if he did, he couldn't recruit because he doesn't have the personality to be successful and isn't a good communicator. I would be shocked to find that a majority of the Coach Martin haters are misinformed...shocked.

What's your source? We were one of his top schools a month or two ago, haven't heard anything about him recently.

He would be a nice pickup. Wouldn't be huge, he is a top 80 player and those are typically decent role players and not gamechangers. Stokes would be huge.

Getting Mitchell and Lucas as your future post players is still a nice 1-2 punch.

Top four. Coming down to us, Stanford, Cal, and Washington. Washington making a strong push late. I believe we are in the lead. I think he's an early signee, not 100% sure.
