'12 TN QB Chad Voytik

How did this kid get to be an Army All American? He's not even the best QB in the state, both him and Kimbro looked out of their league yesterday

I agree. If there were 2 kids that looked more out of place than those 2 I have no idea who they were. Kimbrow looked 4' tall with no speed. Voytik looked Division II capable, maybe. If they had been on the field representing UT I would have been PO'd.

No they don't... where did you get that number? The UT Roster has the OL listed as follows:
Carson Anderson 6-1
Alex Bullard 6-2
Mack Crowder 6-2
Zach Fulton 6-5
Darin Gooch 6-2
Marcus Jackson 6-2
JaWuan James 6-6
Marquis Pair 6-5
Kevin Revis 6-1
JerQuari Schofield 6-6
James Stone 6-3
Dallas Thomas 6-5

Seems like the average height of those guys is about 6'3 1/2"

I love dusting off old threads because I got to LOL at Darin Gooch. I remember how just badly he got whooped when he played. He seriously couldn't crack this year's starting lineup. He broke his ankle or something right? Then transferred?

Anywho. Voytik is about as described on here by those who saw him in high school. Very short, strong arm, fast and feisty but struggles mightily with accuracy and touch. Had 120 yards rushing tonight against VT. Has a hoss of a running back back there though.

Ah man, the lulz to be had on this page are just too real. Especially the ones concerning, bless his heart, ole Natty Pete.

Peterman's career isn't over yet. Not saying he'll be a star, but I would like to see what he could do in a situation where he isn't being completely thrown to the wolves.

For what it's worth, the Chattanooga game was the first time I got a glimpse of the player I thought we were getting when we recruited him. Good arm strength, athletic enough to burn a defense for giving him running lanes. In terms of playstyle, he's a better fit for this kind of offense than Worley IMO.

He lacks the refined skills to be an SEC QB at this point. He doesn't have Worley's short-to-midrange accuracy and he's visibly slow on reads and progressions. But I agree with your point that he's still young and has time left to develop. Hope he surprises us all next year.

Are y'all inferring that chad is good?????

No i just bumped it because i was watching the Pitt game last night and trying to remember how the recruitment went down. Voytik is a pretty tough and quick runner though.

Chad is to Pitt about what Worley is to us this year. I like Pete and hope he gets his shot here (and have said so in the past), but the comments about how much better he was than Voytik were very amusing.

Voytik's little cousin plays on the midget football team my daughter cheers for. Kid can toss 35-40 yards as a 12 year old. Their other cousin was a stud qb at a neighboring high school. He graduated last year. QB skillz run in the family.

FWIW- They like to be called little people.

35 to 40 yards is pretty good for a 12 year old midget, I mean little person.

Yeah...its almist unfair sometimes. They also have a pretty tall wr. He is average, but they throw jump balls all day. In "little person" football, its far from the norm up this way.
