Anyone thinking we have a shot at Top 5? We have 11 spots left I have been told. PLUS, two players haven't been ranked yet (John Brown and Bruce Irvin). What do ya'll think?

6 or 7 is about right...i think we have a chance to get to 5.....next year will be a monster year

John Brown was a 4 star out of high school to Florida. Maybe he'll be a 5 and Irvin a 4. doubt it though. That's best case scenario.

I thought brown was a 5* to UF. huh.

He was by Scout. He was a 4* by Rivals out of HS.

I've said all along Irvin would be a 5*. I'll stick to that. Staff member told me he's the best player available this year in JUCO or High School and it isn't even close. Sounds like Scout wised up and came to agreement.

I say we're 6th to 7th with an outside shot to crack the top 5...

I figure Irvin is a 4* with 5* being possible...Brown is surely a 4*...

Fulton in all likelihood will be 4* before it's over, Taylor and Harris have a shot at 4*...

I think Ambles could get a 5th star if he keeps putting up performances like last week (275 yds)...

My prediction is 3 fives, 15-16 fours and 9-10 threes...

In a normal year that easily lands us in the top 5 and 1-3 in the SEC...but Bama, UF and LSU are once again racking up...throw in Texas and USC and I just don't know if my prediction will crack the top 3 in the SEC or the top 5 overall...

Regardless...it'll be a helluva class

speaking of Irvin, what is his situation? 3 to play 2?

Bruce Irvin, in his first game vs. Pasadena, recorded 1 Forced Fumble, 8 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, for 32 yards, and 4 sacks for 32 yards.

He is a BEAST

i think anytime you get a top 10 class, your bringing in talent. classes 6-10 does not have alot of difference. classes 1-5 maybe a little more but with tennessee bringing in a top 10 class, i have no doubt this staff can develope the players and this is where we had problems in years past

What time are the rankings supposed to be out for JUCO's

Prep rankings came out around 12:30-1:00 yesterday so my guess would be somewhere around that same time...

Funny thing is Pat Harris has already been rated a high (5.7) 3 star...who knows why they went ahead a rated him :dunno:

7 or 8, IMO.

schools like texas, florida lsu, oklahoma, and bama simply arent going to be overcome this year. theyve had a head start in recruiting for a few years. penn state is doing well, as is usc and georgia. usc will climb higher but we will pass texas a&m, stanford, and quite possibly notre dame, uga, and penn state.

we have 11 spots open. at this point, i think we are going to be picky, and get exactly (or close to) who we want.
