#13 Bama (10-2) vs #14 Michigan (9-3) Game Thread (1:00 PM ET)

would Harbaugh ? Id say no, after his SEC comments
I don't like either coach or team, but I still think it's low class to rub it in. How many times do you see a basketball team trying to score when they are way up and the clock is running out? They generally stand around and let the game end.

After some of the stuff Harbaugh has said, I’m not surprised they did it. And it’s not like they were doing anything exotic. It was all between the tackles.

True enough and I don't give a damn one way or the other, but 90% of coaches would have taken a knee there.

Saban usually takes a knee, at least once if the play clock is about to be off. There is a reason he didn't today, and I'm guessing that reason was on the other sideline.

I am sure Harbaughs comments about the SEC had something to do with that, but I suspect that the frustration of not being in the playoff where they are used to being had something to do with it as well. One would think that Saban was above getting into a little pissing match like that, makes no difference to me, but I would think and prefer that the elite and well respected coaches would just take a knee and smile.

Compared to some of Spurriers last second antics, it wasn't running it up by any means.

They used to not too long ago. Saban has had opportunities to run it up against his former assistants and had his offense take a knee.

I think it was also to quiet some fans.

Lou Holtz said Alabama was the best team in the Country but got unluckyo_O
I guess they really might be the 2nd best team in the country. Wouldn't you think? They lost to LSU by 5. We'll never know if they would have beaten Clemson this year, or Ohio State. Quarterbacks getting hurt has a big influence on the game at the highest levels.

I don't buy it. Luck is as big a part of the natty as anything. Nobody remembers bad luck 10 years from now, they just see the resultant scores. Arkansas had some bad luck when Clint Stoerner fumbled in '98? Is Lou still talking about that?
