If I'm not mistaken, Tabor will be one of the top DB's in the 2014 class.
"All I really know about Tennessee is that they're in the SEC and they need linebackers because basically no linebackers came in for their 2012 class on signing day and their linebackers are getting fairly old, so it seems like a good school," he said.
"In a 3-4, I feel like I bring that total package just coming off the line and making plays. In a 4-3, I'm not a edge, but there's nothing wrong with a 4-3, it's alight," Ngakoue said. "I just love the 3-4."
-Rivals."I really want to go see Tennessee. My teammate, Jalen Tabor, told me he's been down there and seen it and love it, so I want to see it for myself," Ngakoue said. "He said that it's a real good school. He said that I should go down there and check it out and that he loved the atmosphere when he was down there and the people and everything is good and I just need to go check it out."
-Rivals.1. Yannick Ngakoue, Friendship Collegiate (D.C.): At 6-feet-2, 235 pounds, Ngakoue looks more like a man than a kid who's barely old enough to hold a license. Ngakoue, who has multiple offers, boasts a combination of size, speed and agility that was unmatched by any other linebacker at the camp. Not only does he close well and have the ability to overpower running backs at the line, but he's quick enough to cover them out in space. Ngakoue is extremely fluid for a prospect his size; he can open up his hips, turn and run and break down in space. He takes good drops and is able to pick up receivers over the middle as well. Of course, at 6-2, 235, Ngakoue is extremely physical; he destroyed routes with a nasty punch.
-Mike Farrell, Rivals.LB Yannick Ngakoue: The D.C. 'backer is starting to blow up with recent offers from Florida State and Michigan to go along with earlier offers from Maryland, Rutgers, Connecticut, Tennessee and West Virginia. Look for the 6-foot-2, 226-pounder to be a 30-plus offer prospect by the time the summer ends. Florida State, West Virginia and Tennessee are early leaders but Michigan will now be in the mix.
-Rivals.Yannick Ngakoue, LB, Friendship Collegiate (2013): I have about 11 offers right now: Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, UNC, NC State, West Virginia, UConn, Rutgers, Tennessee and Maryland. I really like WVU and Tennessee early on. They both run a 3-4 scheme, and I fit well in that kind of defense. I really like what Tennessee's linebackers do; and with WVU they show me a lot of love and have a connection with my coach at Friendship. I kind of like Maryland, too. But the thing with them is they already have like five linebackers coming in, so I'm not sure how I'll fit there. I've been to UConn for a game, and I've been to Rutgers for a game. Those are the only two schools I've seen so far. I'm going back to UConn for a visit, and then after that I'm heading to WVU. I'll probably try to take a trip down to Tennessee to see how that is, too.
