' 13 FL CB Mackensie Alexander

Hopefully he won't play under this coordinator. And if Coleman had to wait behind Teague then I doubt this staff would start MA. Also Bonner and Gray won't be easy to pass up at all. Would be war on the depth charts.

I really wish we could find a way to pull Grace out of Miramar. That would be decent connection to have for a year or two. I keep looking at Gray's highlights, how was he not a 4 star at least... did he not go to camps or was he a late bloomer? The kid seems to have legit speed

He started playing football extremely late(10th Grade or 11th Grade). That's why his ceiling was so high to me. We got a steal with him. He can run with any WR in the country. So glad to add Gray and Bonner on the edge.

You honestly don't think anybody in our secondary has improved? Coleman? and Randolph picked up where he was last year til the injury.

What has pre wagg done this year that is so terrible? It looked like he had a bad game against bama but the busted coverage deal wasn't really his fault. 4 verts is the perfect play against cover 3. He had to pick a WR to break on and picked the wrong one. And cooper just made a good play on that jump ball..didn't help 23 fell down but he was in good position.

Coleman would have gotten better from last year because of experience. Teague Pwag Gordon don't look any better and our secondary as a whole looks worse.

This secondary doesn't look worse. People are just throwing more this year because our offense can score. Coleman looks better coached this year. Experience just making you better should work for #24,#23, and #10. They all aren't UT quality players for different reasons(but talent is the major problem). Sal is calling bad coverages too that is compounding the problem.

Experience benefit is largest after first year in just about everything in life. Everyone is easily throwing the ball on us, even the garbage teams. It was not that bad last year in the cases where teams did try to throw on us. I'm not saying Ansley isn't a great coach or that he is, but this secondary is so bad that he hasn't proven to be worth being upset over if he isn't retained. I'm not experienced in coaching, but i don't know how anyone could say our secondary is better this year than last year.

Dude it's different for different guys. To discredit Ansley for Coleman is BS. Also the coverages being called aren't anywhere near helping this secondary. The O.Coordinators are calling plays knowing what coverages we are in. That's not good at all for the secondary. To run all this man with guys that can only really play zone makes no sense to me. Waggner's one pick came with him playing Cover 2 press. At least mix it up on blitz downs. Ansley also can't do anything without talent to work with period. Waggner and Gordon can't play at a high level in the SEC.

BB...you're hitting a point I think is vital...that they're not being helped out at all by the coverages that are being called...like Sal is saying "I know this doesn't suit you but I'm calling it anyway cause its my system and its up to you to adjust"...and that's just bull headed stupidity....

I personally think Gordon would greatly benefit from better coverage calls...IMO, Teague and Waggner are just out of thier league but I think Gordon could make some plays if he was utilized better

This kid is from my area, Clemson has been getting a lot of commitments from SWFL. I think he'll go to Clemson.
ex: Sammy Watkins

Was said to have done a Gator chomp when UF coaches visited his game a couple of weeks ago, but I think it was just a courtesy recognition of their visit.

edit: I was kind of just kidding around. Just hope he doesn't end up at Florida with VH3

I've never understood the hate you guys have for this kid. He decommitted and hasn't committed to anyone else. What real recruiting game has he played with UT again? What has he said bad about UT again?

Ramsey and Hatcher have said much worse things but you guys love them. This kid decommits and you guys just hate him for no apparent reason. Hilarious......Hope the kid goes first round from Clemson. I really hope he turns out to be the best CB in the country too. Favorite player in this class regardless of position.

I for one don't love 'em. I hope they got out to sunny SC and flop like fish on the dock. Kiffin's out as soon as they're out of the woods with the scholarships. He's been vastly disappointing and has proved why he was down their list of coaches to hire. Let them go, and good riddance.

That said..I too, like Alexander, and I wish he'd re-commit to us. He's a badass.

I agree. I don't understand the hate that any player receives for not choosing the Vols. Most big time players want to play on winning, championship level teams. We are not a winning, championship level team unfortunately.

People do not like "realism" here. Being realistic is the best traveled path to mediocrity, however. Unfortunately, we, as fans, do not have any say in recruiting.

It's not about location or in-state talent. It's about winning. If Butch Jones and his staff can win, and we start competing for SEC championships. The recruits will start coming. I mean look at the talent we have now, and we have not done sh*t since 2007. If Wilcox would not have left, I think our team could have won several SEC games. Just WIN baby.

most fans still think its 1999 and this program is a national brand. They also act like the guy who got rejected by the girl....she's hot and amazing when you think you have a chance but once rejected...she's a Ho and you never wanted her anyway
