'13 GA CB Shaq Wiggins (Transferring to UT)

CB is a position in which we're talented, but there are a lot of unknowns. IMO, it hurts nothing to take a player like Wiggins since he wouldn't be an initial counter. Sign him up.

What is wrong with some of you? Why would an addition of a good CB hurt to at the very least shore up some depth? We have available room on the roster for him. Injuries and lack of depth on defense may have cost us the SECE championship. I believe a lot of you just want to be negative. wtf?

we have room? We have already had to cut some players to make room for the incoming freshmen, even after at least one of them failed to qualify.

3rd system, obviously wants to follow Graham around (doesn't want to be here), coming off of injury

he has had one decent year. not like he has been knocking it out of the park everywhere he goes.

The 22-year-old Wiggins visited the Vols this weekend, closing in on a decision of which school he wants to play for next season after deciding to transfer.

Wiggins was an Under Armor All-American at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Ga., before beginning his career at Georgia in 2013. He transferred out in 2014, following defensive coordinator Todd Grantham to Louisville and sitting out that season.

Grantham left Louisville this offseason for Mississippi State, and ESPN has reported that Wiggins is considering a move to Starkville along with Tennessee and South Carolina.

wouldnt mind taking him. never have too many corners and he does have experience plus hes only around for a year. Plus we have had some of the worst DB play that ive ever seen in major CFB. So it wouldnt hurt to add a guy that could help if those other DBs are garbage again.

I understand relationships with coaches but possibly following him on three stops? Grantham must be the man.

After talking to folks, we can confirm that the former UGA/Louisville cornerback was here this weekend.

Wiggins is slated to visit South Carolina soon and will trip to Mississippi State sometime next month. The Bulldogs remain the frontrunner here with Grantham and Buckley, but Wiggins enjoyed his trip to Tennessee and likes T-Rob and Muschamp at Carolina.

I wouldn't rule out a return trip to Tennessee, either. We'll obviously continue to monitor this story. Would be a nice pickup for Vols at a position desperate for experience and depth.
