'13 GA RB Tyshon Dye

I talked to several people that are on the staff at AU and Clemson and they said they are not gonna offer Marquice. Knoxville is only three hours from Elberton not far at all. Plus Coach Graham has told numerous people that Tyshon was the back he wanted most because of the similiarities to Lattimore. Theres no backs except for Marlin Lane at UT now that are on Tyshon's level.

I agree Marlin is the only back close to Dye's talent level... I belive we are have a great Oppurtuinty to Land Dye espically with CG on staff...

I wouldn't be surprised to see him commit to Clemson in the next couple of weeks. I just don't get the feeling Clemson is a longterm player for Green, which makes me believe we will fill our final RB spot sooner rather than later. This narrows it down to Dye and Kamara.

Kamara is the darkhorse in this scenario. He will be visiting this weekend with his good friend Ryan Jenkins, who just commited a couple of weeks back. I was kind of surprised he didn't commit last week at dawg night. With that said, still think he ends up at Uga.

In the post visit interviews it sounds like Kamara almost commited to UGA but the staff told him to take his planned visits to UA on Sundy(he did) and to CU on Thursday which is suppose to happen to be 100%. But all signs are pointing to UGA at this point for Kamara.

I have read on both UGA and AU boards that Dye has some grade concerns that may have him in a holding pattern for commiting. FWIW

Clemson is in great shape with Kamara.

I may be completely wrong, but I get the feeling that Kamara will stay in the SEC. He seems very competitive, and I think that he wants to compete against the best in the country week in and week out. No inside sources...just my gut feeling.

Well, this isn't good news for either Clemson or Tenn, IMO. From a Clemson perspective, really thought we were in better shape here.....

Interview with Tyshon's brother, Marquice:

What's the latest on his brother?

"I know he likes Clemson and Auburn. Auburn is his favorite. He's suppose to visit there this weekend on Friday or Sat. My coach loves Auburn. He talks about them all the time."

How about Marquice?

"I still like Clemson. I like Auburn, Clemson and Tenn."

What are the odds of them playing together in college?

"It would be great. I am thinking if we do, it would be Tenn but Tyshon's not really considering them. We are hoping to play together in college."

Strange. I knew UT was behind a couple schools for Tyshon, but, "not really considering them?" We've heard multiple times from multiple sources that Tyshon has a great relationship with CJG.

Don't take it as gospel. Sometimes getting the perspective from inside the family can be very telling and sometimes it can just be some Soph in HS, who isn't exactly use to being interviewed, rambling.

Not sure which is the case here.

Another excellent post. We who follow recruiting sometimes forget that kids say things then dont mean because they arent used to being interviewed. That and their preferences change drastically from day to day.

Why does it really matter if the coach loves Auburn? He isn't the one that is going to be there for 4-5 yrs. I can't stand HS coaches being involved heavily with a kid's recruitment. I don't have a problem with them giving good advice, but hate when they try to sway them to a certain school. Must be the $$$$$!!

Especially when Auburn is involved. Them and Clemson have to be more of the shady schools around.

No way AU offers his brother they have other RB's higher on the board also like Wilkins. If we get a RB commit soon I'm sure the offer for Marquice will be pulled.

AU is hoping that Wilkins will commit to them this week. They will take 1 more RB in this class and will either be Dye or Green, if not onlu Wilkons. Atleast according to their sites.

Apparently, Auburn likes Wilkins more than Dye at RB. And with Wilkins announcing within the next few days, all signs point to AU. I think Dye will be left with Clemson & UT as his most likely choices. I thought he favored Clemson all along anyway.

True but Clemson has Gallman already and they lead for Kamara plus there looking good for Green. Ive been told Clemson is gonna try to take 5 RBs

Probably just sarcastic, but we are trying to have 5 RB's on the roster next year.

There is less of a chance of us still being in the running when Green decides, than vice-versa. Uga still leads for Kamara, according to everything I can see. Still surprised he didn't commit last week at dawg night, and with the way he keeps everything close to the vest, maybe Clemson is in better shape than it seems? We'll know a lot more after this weekend where things stand with him though. He would be a ridiculously good fit in Morris's offense though, and would be able to jump right in to battling for the top spot with Bellamy and Ellington.

If I'm a Tenn fan, I am hoping for Wilkins to Aub and Kamara to Clemson. Tenn would then be the frontrunner for Dye, IMO.

I thought he was toast...????

He is. Been gone since early May. But even then, it was well after we started recruiting all of these guys, and couldn't have done anything but help us out with them.

It was actually really bad timing. If he would have failed out of school in Jan/Feb, we would have definitely landed either Gurly or Marshall last year. Now we are very thin at RB behind Ellington, and what was going to be an area of strength is now a concern. He must stay healthy now, which he hasn't done the past 2 years.

I agree, Dye is my favorite with Green. I like Folston a lot too, but most seem to think he's a long shot. I like Kamara, but I can't see him coming to UT, so I'm pulling for everyone to go to Clemson to improve our chances with Dye.

Welp.

Dye and Wilkins gone.

Maybe we can green to come on an official and sway him to play in the south
