He and Derrick Green are comparable in size. They are both physically imposing backs. These are the kind of backs, icluding T. Jones that we need at UT.

It really does not matter to me which is better. Give me one of the three (Jones, dye, and Green) and I will be more than fine.

AU has offered 8 RB's for the 2013 class and Tyshon Dye is one of the select few to get the offer from RBU. I really like Dye's 6'1 208lbs stature and his ability to cut back on the dime to find the hole. He runs a little high but nothing that can't be fixed at the next level.

BTW, His recruitment is wayyyyyyy too early to call but I think Tenn and AU both have great shots at landing him. :yess:

heard Clemson was the leader behind the scenes but Bama has to have the best chance after that because UGA seems to like Tyren Jones better and will probably take one more back to go with the other commit, thats from a few UGA guys

Solid post. I believe Dye will end up at Clemson.

I want UT to get Jones. I'm sure UGA is the favorite right now though. Hopefully the fact UGA has Crowell, just got Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley, and also has Derrick Henry committed for the 2013 class will scare Jones away from UGA.

I understand it being the instate school, but there are so many better opportunites at other schools when it comes to playing time. UT has no RB depth.

I would like to see OV's take betwen Dye and Jones. I like both a lot, but Dye looks so fast and so physical that he could line up in the SEC now. Rivals shows that we have offered, but if we truly have not, I hope we do soon. If Jones is favored to go to UGA, I think we could have a shot at Dye.

Exactly. Shoot, if that's the measuring rod, I have a few former tn players that need a place at the table... And you're gonna need more chairs

Bo is the only one that was great. And would've been a hall of famer had he not got hurt. Don't know if I've ever seen a better athlete on the football field. But we've had so many backs that were better than the Barn it's crazy.

Auburn definitely isn't RBU. But they have had some good RBs throughout the years. Obviously Bo Jackson, Ronnie Brown, and Carnell Williams. But there are some others that had good careers and some that are still playing at a decent level in the NFL. Rudi Johnson and Stephen Davis went to The Barn. Brandon Jacobs was at Auburn. Kenny Irons was a good RB at Auburn and Ben Tate. Pretty solid group of RBs from the last few years and then Bo is just on another level. But they still aren't RBU by any means.

Auburn usually has good college backs that don't translate to the next level for whatever reason.

I believe USC is the "official" RBU.

Flowd I gave them three don't give them anything else. Make Auburn fans think. Most don't know they were the first ever school that's in the SEC to win the national championship(no they weren't in the SEC but they won one first). Most Auburn fans don't even know they're history.
