Maybe, just maybe, the coaches were/are a little busy. After all, they were still working on kids in this signing class

Young Mr. Bell just needs to be patient. If he really wants to be a Vol, he will wait and when he gets the offer, he will commit on the spot

I am sure with the new coaches settling in, Dooley and the staff will start evaluating film and will offer soon. They have been busy trying to keep the 2012 class together. I hope to see this guy in orange.

Do you think Saban is so successful because his name is Nick Saban or because he is organized, plans, and excecutes?

There has to be a reason the staff is yet to make contact. Our staff is normally diligent.

We are going to be picky for the 2013 cycle. If he gets an offer, he earns it in front of the coaches. I bet they will want to do further evaluations this summer during camps and go from there.

I agree BB. Nothing wrong with a verbal offer at this point. We've been handing a lot of them out. I wouldn't be surprised though if the written offers won't be based on camp performances. You're right there are a lot of guys out there like Bell who need an offer. I would like to see Dye get an offer too.

If this guy was to turn in poor performances at camp and dooley asks him to look around after a commitment, then Dooley and UT gets more heat for not being true to their word nonsense. It is important to get in early but that must be coupled with proper evaluations.

For the record my statement is isn't necessarily about Bell. Just a general statement.

I have no problem with kids having to earn the right to SIGN with Tennessee at camp. I also think that if UGA and Bama have offered a kid who has went public with "I love the Vols and want to go to Tennessee" a 45 second phone call and a verbal offer would not be a problem. Yes, the last week may have been a busy time for our staff. They did find time to offer alot of other 2013 recruits. Unless this kid tried to steal CDDs car, call the kid and extend the offer.

We have only 21 Scholarships to give out this cycle, am I wrong?

The problem here is that the staff will probably only sign 2 or 3 DB's next year. We already have one committed so that leaves maybe 1 or 2 spots. Who do you go with?

Jalen Ramsey
Vonn Bell
Shaq Wiggins (Vols lead for)
Ryan White
M. Alexander (current commits twin who said they are going to the same school)
Corn Elder (some like him better at DB)
Donald Gray (current commits teammate)
Darius Sims
etc...

I think they should offer Bell, but this is what the coaches are looking at and studying right now.

This cycle as in '12 or '13? If you mean '13, I think we are sitting at 13 Seniors without any attrition and I think 83 scholarship athletes after yesterday. Don't hold me to that though. Larry is the man when it comes to that.

Well I called his brother earlier today and tennessee has lost a lot of points with his family his exact quote was if bama will beat tn by 3 tds what all evaluation do you need??

So if noone quit, was kicked off the team or decided to transfer on their own we would be able to take 15 in 2013? 14 if we take Bynum next week? Yeah, numbers are going to be pretty tight for the next class.
