Coach I had interest in Miami, but it's just too late in the process. I committed to Tennessee and I gave them my word, so I'm gonna have to say thanks but no thanks
thats great because if Patterson and Hunter go pro after this year which I don't think they should but money talks, and Cam Patrick lookin like he has no chance to enroll then we really need this kid I'm glad to hear he is all vol.
Hunter needs to bring his act back to school. He's no where near ready right now. Entirely too soft for NFL CBs.
I personally think that TB, CP, and JH need to come back for their SR year. CP is more ready than the other 2 but he still needs some work to polish up on his route running and pad level.
Watched Tillman rough up Megatron the other night and just laughed at the thought of Hunter going up against him. Not nearly ready for the league.
That's what I don't like about our defenders. Half of them lack a real killer instinct. That's why I'm watching Florida so much these days. Bama's defense isn't even hitting like the Gators.

Purifoy is my favorite college corner. Alexander is my favorite high school corner. Playing corner is a state of mind. That is YOUR corner out there. If it is a run coming your way you have to destroy that wideout and hold that edge by any means neccessary. Do NOT let that wr put his hands on you at all. Never get blocked. Ever. And if it is a pass.... they might as well not even throw it. I am taking it and going the other way. If you do catch it I am tackling you where you catch it. No yards after catch. It is a matter of pride. And heart. Those are things you have or you don't. They can't be taught or bought.
Corners have to play with a level of disrespect. You ALWAYS respect the game and prepare like hell, but you have to make everybody know that you are not a target. Don't come this way at all. Everytime you do, I got to show you why you should call plays to the other side, and not my side. Like I said, you can't pay for it or pray for it. You are either born with it. Or you ain'tI don't know if I have a favorite CB right now. I like Purifoy though. Mack Alexander is my kind of guy. I teach CBs to blow RBs up if they get a chance on the edge. Action should be brought early and often to a WR. The first time he tries to block you just run right through him and see how he reacts. On pass plays blow this guy up all game if you can't get you hand on the ball. On deflections push the WR after knock the ball away. And even if you're not a trash talker(rare at CB) walk through the WR any chance you get after the play. If you get a pick it's showtime. The effort on the corner by Teague made me want to throwup in my mouth. Everyone blames coaching but you should know how to set the edge at CB out of HS. And you've got to want to tackle. I don't like PW23's toughness either.
