13 MD WR Paul Harris (UT commit 7/17/12)

huuuuuuuuge. for playbook and strength and conditioning. so huge.

That plus a JUCO ee and Josh Smith ee... plus maybe Hunter and/or CP back... ain't too bad.

Harris and rumph would give us two receivers 6'4" or better. I'm liking it.

The only way JH returns if he gets hurt again, or his leg isnt 100% and he has a bad year.

I hate it but I agree. With his kid to support he's gotta take the money. Hopefully he has such a good year that CP has to stay another year haha

Douglass WR Paul Harris commits to Tennessee
By Steve Yanda

(Mark Gail - THE WASHINGTON POST) Douglass receiver Paul Harris acknowledged Tuesday that he did not decide to attend his dream school. Instead, the rising senior, a four-star recruit according to Rivals.com, picked the school with which he felt the closest connection. He orally committed to Tennessee, and he plans to enroll at the Knoxville university in January after graduating from high school a semester early.

“My final choice was between [Southern California] and Tennessee,” Harris said in a telephone interview. “Everybody thought because USC is so big that that was the school I was going to choose, and they knew that USC was a dream school of mine. So when I picked Tennessee, I think it shocked everybody.”

Harris, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound wideout, is Tennessee’s 14th commitment in its Class of 2013 and the third at his position. He said the Tennessee coaches told him they expect him to play right away and that enrolling a semester early will aid him in that regard.

“I really trust the coaching staff,” Harris said. “I wouldn’t have picked Tennessee if I didn’t.”

While Harris had developed close relationships with two of USC’s coaches, he said he has developed the same bonds with every member of Tennessee’s staff. That, in the end, proved to be a deciding factor in his decision.

Harris recently visited both schools, and he said he entered his trip to USC thinking that would be the school he would attend. But after both visits, his thought process began to evolve.

“I wanted everything to feel the same,” Harris said. “I wanted my feelings to stay the same with each coach. I didn’t want to have me like one coach and not like the other coach. With Tennessee, I fit better in the system because all the coaches connect with me. I talk to all the coaches and have a relationship with all the coaches. With USC, I don’t have that.”

His original plan was to announce his decision at the end of the month, but once Harris had become convinced Tennessee was where he wanted to go, he saw no point in further delaying the process.

“It was just time to end it,” Harris said. “I knew what school I needed to go to, I knew what school I wanted to go to, and I knew what school was going to prepare me the best, so I might as well end it. And I’m strongly committed to them, you know? I’m not going to take no other official visits. My mom taught me to be a man of my word. I made this commitment, so I’m done with looking at schools.”

I don't know if that's been pointed out or not but that made me extremely excited. Stoked about this guy!

He has yet to start more than 4 games in a season. Very likely he returns. He has alot to learn about the position still. He will be an easy 1srt rounder by his SR year.

Not convinced we lose anyone. Maybe James if he dominates. But Bray and Hunter need to start and stay healthy for a whole season. 13 could be our year.

Sadly, Hunter is likely gone. Could be the number 1 WR taken, and his production only gets a bump from DR's antics/leaving.

Yes Patterson, Bowles, Howard, and Croom are better prep prospects to me.

If Harris can learn the position he could be a beast. He's got the height (needs to add weight) and he's super athletic. He could be great for us down the road, not that the others can't, I just think he has a higher ceiling than anyone but CP from last years class.

I need to research this years wideout class. And how many guys have been 1st rounders after an ACL. DR, the gift that keeps on giving.

I think it depends on how other WRs look in workouts. Keenan Allen is a beast. Woods will have great numbers.

Keenan Allen and Robert Woods are probable first rounders.

Marquess Wilson (WSU) and Terrance Williams (Baylor) are guys that could go in the first round with a nice season/combine.

Croom is a much better big WR. Harris needs to learn how to play big. All the WRs in this last class play "big" regardless of their size.

Just cant see Hunter leaving. Woods definitely will be ahead of him this yr and prob a few others. JH would be easy 1st rounder next year if he stays healthy.

If Hunter stays healthy and produces this year, he's right there with Woods at one of the top WRs on the board. His size, hands, jumping ability, and ball skills are hard to come by.
