Not at all.
I'm pretty well set against a playoff because I feel like it will devalue the regular season, which is one of the things that makes college football so great. In no other sport can you play a must-win game at any point on your schedule, whether it's the first week or the last.
You get into a scenario where a team can catch fire at the end of the year (see Green Bay Packers 2010) and you essentially crown a flavor-of-the-month champion as opposed to rewarding the team that was best from beginning to end.
what happens when you have 3/4 teams with the same record and they haven't had head-2-head matchups?
With the divisional system this never comes up because all the teams that would potentially be tied would have also met on the field. Like I said, I just really like the system we have in place now because it rewards teams for being good in weeks 1-15 as opposed to a playoff that basically rewards teams for being good from week 15 on.
