this is great news for UT - our DT and DE positions are senior laden so missing out on Carr would have really, really hurt

Damn this is great news! Big enough that we held on to him, but imo just as huge that he's coming this weekend to help recruit. As of now, I think he is the only current visitor expected to be here that is currently committed to UT. I'm hoping a few more can make it in to help recruit. Last week there were a bunch of commits and I really think it helped with the other visitors.

Great news! Not as concerned about our D-Line now. We still need a few more studs but this is very good news. Thanks for the post.

And yes insiders for every school are wrong it seems. Every now and then they hit the big one but miss probably more. Sort of like a slot machine. People in Vegas will play 8 lines at a dollar a piece, so $8 per pull. On the 10th pull they hit for $40 and get excited but forget they are still in the hole for $40. Just like with insiders they hit big every now and then.

I still think you're a quality poster. I was wrong this morning. I just remember you posting something that stated Carr was not a take, but obviously did not recall that you stated you were relaying the information from a UA site.

Sounds like you’re taking this one pretty serious. Also, I wonder if you hadn’t been called out would you have posted the info? You posted the info in an attempt to negate my post. Words cannot describe how big this news is....not only do we desperately need players like Carr but we went head to head with Bama on a player they were going all out for and won...that's the kind of stuff we have to do repeatedly to get back to where we want to be

Carr is our biggest commitment to date, and will probably stay that way unless we get Lawson or Bell.

He's bloomed very, very well.
