'13 TN DE Jason Carr (UT signee)

My son and I got to speak with Jason Carr and his father again last night while Jason worked on his speed and agility. Jason is a beast and his foot speed is unreal for a kid of his size.
Jason's father is a stand up man also. I could talk to him all night about the recruiting process and how they love Butch Jones and the University of Tennessee.
Carr and family = VFL.
Thanks again Carr and family!!

Looks like he's 25

***Four-star defensive end Jason Carr left his official visit to Alabama ready to switch commitment to UA. Carr was convinced he was the perfect as a 3-4 end in Nick Saban's defense rather than Tennessee's four-man front. But after talking to his parents, he decided to stick with the Vols and attend the same school as his brother which made it a lot more convenient from a family standpoint.

Yeah, they didn't want him anyway.

Only a bammer could dream up something this dumb.

According to other parts of story, UA could have basically had any recruits they wanted, including Vonn Bell and Jalen Ramsey. However, with only 25 slots they had to turn several away.

This I find more believable than the Carr story. I will give credit where due, Saban and bama are recruiting monsters. It is probably fortunate for the rest of the SEC that he could only take 25.

But, Bama still sucks and buck fama!

Sounds like a used-car salesman line....Carr is perfectly made for the 4-3 and I hope develops into the kind of player that Shaun Ellis (6-5 265 at UT) was for us--and gets drafted in the first round. Go VOLS!

BTW--Ellis was called the Big Katt--

How about Jason "Big Katt" Carr?? :salute:

Just saw the same photo on TN Ducks, West TN. I'm guessing you are a hunter too. Thanks for the info. Carr is my favorite member of this class.

Athletically Lemond Johnson has the tools to be a very good safety and Corey Vereen is going to surprise some people. According to Rivals we have 6 players that were .1 from being 4 star players. Not sure there's a difference between a 5.7 3 star and a 5.8 4 star but maybe I just want to see the bright side.

The three star commits to us and espn tells them to lower the ranking because they hate us remember lol

I like Jason "the bus" Carr.

Jason Carr is one of my favorite commits...his dad Michael is also a VFL...remember reading that the weekend after his OV, Jason rode a Mega-Bus on his own dime to come back to Knoxville on an UOV to help recruit other recruits on campus...VFL!

Dude took his own dime to help w bell and then he pulled a Benedict Arnold. I would give anything to see the OSU in a bowl if we could turn this **** around
