'13 TN QB Max Staver

Hate to talk ill of a Tennessean, but I hope that Staver does not have as good a career as Spurrier.

you act like Bray was a world beater his freshmen yr lol Of course he's better than 2 Fr. But what has Bray done beside beat up on losing teams and throw int against better D's. The only body of work that either Brisset or JD has is against 3 of the top 5 D in the nation.

Ok, you beat us a couples times here, but really, our QB depth is far greater than yours, Bray mighta only beat them teams, but he will beat yours this year.
For real though, not trolling u hard, but yeah, we have better depth there.

I know you got some kid from Fl that none of the big 3 wanted but other than TB who are the others QB?

Dont care about who the big 3 wanted or not.
Both Peterman & Worley I would want over what you got. Now I will admit, you have been a lot better than us in recent years, but your not admitting our depth at QB is better than yours shows me you already know this. Worley has about as much SEC game expierence as you got, Bray has about 5 times more than that, & Petterman is going to be better than both of them when he get it. We also picked up a gooden this year to if it sticks, but being he has not played out his senior season, this is speculation, however he fit our system with his arm.
Also Our recieving corps will only help our QB's so yeah, we are better off in that position.
I respect your posts here so I will not fight you. I made a statement to you we got you at QB.

Asked who you had after TB bc the only QB I know about is the Jville kid. I watched him in the playoff and didn't see anything. I take Brisset over Peterman anyday. Comes from a better system, QB of B2B state titles and better tools but again that jmo. I'm not big on Driskel and know nothing about Worley. I But I'll give you QB/WR but UF has the better team so I could care less about moral victories. As long as the make a few plays and don't lose the game. Even Brantley beat UT so imo that's all you can ask out of your QB.

Quite frankly, the reason Staver isn't rated very high nor was he highly regarded or highly recruited is because he's too mechanical. His movements and actions are robot-like and it appears he's thinking rather than reacting when he's playing.

In addition to trying to read and react to defenses it appears he's thinking about his drop back, arm angle, etc...

IF he can overcome paralysis by analysis, he has a shot to do some things.

Well HG we'll see who is the better Qb between Brissett and Peterman. It's funny that you like Brissett but my Gator homeboy hates Brissett and loves Driskell. I personally like our Qbs more than that group of Gator signal-callers. I think Brantley was undervalued and playing in the wrong system. You'll miss him this year HG.

you cant be serious

if your all expecting brissett and driskel to suck you might be in for a big surprise

im expecting it be better then last yr thats for sure

HG he didn't play bad against Georgia with them getting away with numerous PIs. He would've shredded you guys with Hunter. Don't do Bray like that. Brissett and Driskell don't have anywhere near the arm strength Bray has. Neither of them have shown flashes either like Bray did as a freshman. Hell one could argue that Worley should more promise than those two cats.

LOL, i'm sorry but this is crazy. Those "two cats" were literally thrown at the best 2 defenses in the nation last year as 18 year old freshmen. Cut em a break. They were the number 1 and number 3 quarterbacks in the nation in high school. Let them learn, get some more PT, and develop into the quarterbacks they can be. It was unfortunate that they had to play the two teams that ended up in the national championship game. I do respect your opinion but I am going to have to disagree with ya here.

Cry me a river. We had the same thing happen to us.

Compared to the QBs you have, I'm sure he looks solid to you.

 You mean those 2 kids that were the #1 ranked and #2/3 ranked QB's in the 2011 class?

Yeah, they're not solid at all because... well, I'm guessing because they were thrown into the fire before they were ready, against some of the best teams in the country while UF was in the midst of an entire offensive system overhaul? :eek:k:

If Staver just won 1 camp and placed 2nd overall at another, his stock is on the rise; and he could be very highly ranked by the time his senior season is over.

In fact, he probably just hasn't been noticed as much as some other QB's that play in states with better reputations for producing a lot of football talent... it's only June, and the state of Tennessee hasn't exactly been a hotbed of talent in recent years.

If I'm not mistaken, Bray was a 3* player on at least 1 of the services all the way through NSD in the 2010 class, was he not? And his offer list consisted of who, UT, Fresno State, and San Diego State?

Been there done that.

When Driskell's career is finished, the most impressive thing will be his star rating coming out of HS. He should transfer and play for tOSU.

Maybe if yall stopped turning QB's into TE's and HB's you wouldn't have to rely on FR. Wasn't the most efficient use of spots by Urban.

I feel like this one isnt over yet. Family is die hard nittany lions, and his sis (who is a gorgeous model) goes to UT. If penn state or vols were to offer later in the process, it wouldnt surprise me to see him in state college or knoxville next year.

Question is why would either of the teams you mentioned offer? Penn State got arguably the #1 qb in the country and the #1 guy on their board and UT got a guy who Chaney and company are thrilled with.

Unlike other positions, typically once a team has gotten 'their guy' they're done at the position and there's no need to revisit.
