Who has Dooley "lost" in Memphis?

We stopped pursuing kimbrow last year..Robinson didn't really have a ton of interest in UT and almost everyone thought he'd be an academic casualty.

We signed cam clear in 11 and tino thomas this past cycle. Already have a national top 200 guy in Jason Carr committed for 13 and we're in good shape with Herron.
i was thinking of this kid and kimbrow. they are both top 250 players per rivals and top 3 RB. they were considered top players in the state.

At what point did I say I didn't believe you? Thats not the point I was making. Dooley has lost several good instate players in that area. That was the point of the post. Not whether or not he had any interest in UT, my first post said he was high on Miss.

It always going to be a tough pull in Memphis, and a big part of UT losing recruits there last year was because of Bagget.

You seem to forget two years ago UT got every in state player it wanted. Tino Thomas, Antonio Richardson, Cam Clear, to name a few out of the Memphis area.

Kimbrow was lazy and acted like he was better than everyone else when he came to UT. At one point, Kimbrow just sat in the inzone. Dooley pretty much pulled his offer after that.

Also Kimbrow dropped almost 100 places on 247 and dropped out of the 250 in Rivals because of his play against good competition. The best player in the state last year was probably Jovon Robinson

You act like Barry Sanders played before the forward pass. He stopped playing in the NFL in 2000.

You apparently didn't watch Barry sanders in college if you are trying to compare Gundys mike leach style offense to the one sanders played in.

Barry Sanders played in the 80's. He did not play under Van Gundy and in Ok States current offense.
Van Gundy was the starting QB when Sanders played there. He tells that story to every player he recruits I am sure.

So? Recruits still look at the fact that his offense is not a good one for elite running backs. Sort of like Meyer and Leach do not get elite running backs

So he tells a rb he is going to give them 373 carries? Yeah I doubt it.

He tells them they can play for OSU and get enough exposure to win the heisman trophy and be the 3rd overal pick in the NFL draft. I'm sure that is enough to make his point to anyone with any sense.

Because his offense really showcases heisman contenders at rb. Please tell me you're not this dumb.

Let me make sure I understand this right.
Your saying the team that finished #3 in the nation last season. Isn't going to get their starting RB enough exposure to play in the NFL?

You're a dumbass.

If this is such a great way to get good runningbacks, then how come he has only signed two low four star running backs since he has been there and nothing better? Here is a hint, elite running backs know that his offense is not their best route to the NFL

Florida won two national championships, yet their running backs never did much
