'13 TX FS Kameron Miles

Rivals apparently has an interview with his parents. From the preview, they sound supportive and told him to make sure before announcing, but one of you guys with subs can do the article better justice than that.

Good call by OCI. I don't hang on Anyones word on here anymore though

Quit it Callahan. We know your trying to place doubt in VN in hopes that more will subscribe to 247.

You and I both know VN is better info than you and Rucker put out.

From ESPN:

Miles is a big time run stopper and coverage defender. Is also productive as a quarterback in the wildcat set, showing the toughness needed to take the ball inside and off the edge for big chunks of yardage; flashes "take it to the house" playing speed as a running back. However we feel his great size and athleticism are best suited for the defensive safety position at the major level of competition; over time his frame should be capable of supporting additional bulk. This guy is a tough customer with the playing strength needed to wrap and punish ball carriers. Plays with good balance and leverage, demonstrating the ability to knock runners back where they came from while not allowing yardage after contact; should be very effective as a special team's coverage defender. His flexibility, agility and balance allow him to move freely in space, demonstrating the ability to make tight turns and change direction without losing a step. We see a coverage defender capable of playing both zone and man coverage. Demonstrates very good route awareness; reads combo routes well, showing the ability to play man within a zone concept; is patient with good overall instincts; can plant and break up on underneath throws while demonstrating very good overlap ability off the hashes. This prospect has the burst and range we like to see when evaluating the safety position. Is an aggressive downhill run defender; gets off the mark with quick reads, taking direct angles to the football; is a strong ally player with the toughness and tacking skills needed to limit yardage once the line of scrimmage is cleared. Does an excellent job in lateral pursuit; can turn and change direction while showing excellent long make up speed. Miles appears to have the athleticism, size, toughness and playing speed needed to gain early playing time at the BCS level of play.

It needs to be more than just some games. The parents need to come up with him so that all involved can see everything that they need to see have all their questions answered. If the entire family is onboard then it is much more likely that the commitment will stick.

I don't think CDD would have any other way. He is pretty good about communicating with parents and knows they need to be on board with what they are doing. I was assuming his parents would come with him.

Some people on here crack me up....So many people on this site long for a committment, always asking the so called "guru's" when the next committment is going to be...BOOM we get one and then you're worried about him decommitting, is another school going to take him...does Texas want him...oh no what about Bama??? It's almost pathetic that even good news to some people is bad news...Congrats to this kid and welcome to Big Orange Country
